Hey Folks,

I'm restoring my 68 440 318cui 4 door Coronet with A/C (at least it had one) and currently working on the heater case. In the manual i saw that there should be a tube attached at the engine side of the blower motor. Once its called "motor cooler tube" and later its called "air tube" but its never mentioned or shown where it goes. My car didnt have this. Can anyone send me a picture or give advice?

Thanks and regards
Diz

Thanks for your answers guys! Maybe my text was a little confusing. I just need to know where the tube is attached to. The one end goes on the pipe i marked in my thread opener and the other end goes where?

Aaah, now i understand sportfury's answer. My blower motor doesnt have that hole. Maybe it is again some mixup with the 67 model again, like the backup light switch which is like at the previous model.

Replacement motors (aftermarket) typically have the hole in completely the wrong location....

mine has no hole at all. and it does look like a heater only blower motor, although i have (had) ac. those for ac have a kind of metal skirt around them, at least what i saw at dealer's sites.
