Any creative people on a budget building their own tools instead of buying them or paying someone else to do it? Post some pictures. And help share some good ideas. First picture is a gizmo to remove axel studs studs without hammering them
Second picture. Torsion bar removal tool.
Third picture is a pitman arm removal tool
Fourth picture is a gas tank lock ring tool.

Been doing that my entire life but never thought to take pictures of them. All pretty much one and done just to finish the job.
Good on you.
Search for a thread on here called "Tools Explained". You'll enjoy it.

Crude but useful.. Zipped this together to spread exhaust pipes for header collectors. There was an Hpipe so all I had to do was get a half inch out of it for them to align. It did have a second angle iron welded to the other end. But it made it wasy to spread the pipes.

I made this fixture to hold differentials, hydraulic pumps, etc. for repair. Slips into the top of an engine stand.

Ok, I will get some pictures when its done. I am in the process of painting it now but it isn't real warm so it takes some time for the paint to dry.

I will say this, my initial design was flawed, I did not include any bearings or bushings in the top or back rollers both of which are adjusted via bolts. without bearings or bushings the ends of the rollers would just dig into the ends and it would not turn. I ended up getting some bushings and had to remove ends I made and turn them down to 3/4" and reassemble them.
