Hey all, when I was tracing my car's history I was able to get back 2 owners ago. He bought the car back in 1984 in Livonia, MI (same city I bought my car from).

I asked if he remembered the guys name he bought it from. He said the guy was a toolmaker, named Jim who worked at one of the Dodge plants. Apparently Jim's son took the car out & ripped out the exhaust system going over some RR tracks. The exhaust system was redone but the pipes went under the rear axle not over it, so he took it to a place called Dave's Exhaust over on Michigan Ave to be redone correctly.

I know it's a big stretch but hopefully someone might remember my car or this story so I might be able to get more history of my car.

Thanks in Advance!

I cruised Telegraph and street raced every weekend thru the 80's and 90's. Did your car look like it does now back then? I do not recall it.

I cruised Graph in the 70s.
Never saw that car.

I too cruised Telegraph almost every summer weekend in the 70's in my old GTX but don't recall that car. Muffler Dave's on Michigan Ave in Wayne is still in business and Dave is still there, although the kid does most of the work these days. I know it's REALLY a long shot, but you might try giving Dave a call? (734) 722-1110 Good luck!

From what I know the car still looks the same. At some point it was repainted but the same PP1 as it came out of the factory.

Tele and w. Chicago, korvetts parking lot, raced that area late 70s early 80s.
Don't remember that ride though.
Lived in Livonia most my life.

I will add that Paul Hatton did the pinstripes.

Just bumping to see if anyone might remember.

Talked to Dave today unfortunately no dice.

See the other Milan Dragway post where we are all now discussing cruising Telegraph again for something to do. Trying to get as many interested as we can. We are starting tomorrow evening.
