Trunk lid rattles

The trunk lid rattles badly. It is not glued to the support frame at all. What product can be used to seperate the two, or glue together the trunk outer skin to the inner structure?

Clear silicone caulk should do the job.

I called 3m about this issue, they recommend 3m nvh. It is made to do exactIy what you need,and will not print thru to the outer skin from expansion, it worked perfect for me.

I'm about to do this to my trunk. It makes an awful racket going over bumps.

That 3M stuff is expensive. Found it on Amazon for under $45, but the required applicator tool is $400.

I just went through a bunch of research for this. I'm in the same boat and was looking at their panel bond adhesive, but the 200ml NVH stuff lists the 08571 as one of the applicators you can use and it's $65 on Amazon:
