Why do they need my ss number? It wont send me a check it did before. Did they change there terms? They want to link to my account. I hate giving up my info just thought I asked to see what you guys had to say.

EVERY communication from Paypal will address you by name, not by "Dear Client / Customer," by your email address, etc. All others are frauds or phishing scams and should be forwarded to [email protected]. It's my understanding they actually track down and prosecute scammers.
Never give out your SS number. It's a scam!

Amen to all the above - with the addition of ANYTIME I get any communication from PayPal,
I never reply to it or do anything with it - instead, I go log into my account at PP to see what's up.
If whatever you received in email is legit, it's there to look at on their site as well.
VERIFY, don't trust.

One I received, note the bogus spelling. Bet they improved since. Sign into account but NOT through that bogus email and contact them where to forward that email.

I hate pp. years ago I gave them credit card number to buy something and after that, only bought something from eBay with what was left in the account. A couple of years went by after the card expired. I went to buy a small item and they said I couldn't , because there wasn't a cc linked to account. I told them to just give me the money I had in the account and they told me that I would have to link card in order to get my money!
No Im logged in and requesting them to send me my balance-aka check- and it redirects me to the summary page. I accept funds then it ask me how I want it. I then hit -send me a check and the same thing happens again. I call PP and no one answers just talking to the computer.

I transfered funds I was paid the other day anf it just asked which account ( I have 2 ) to send it to. If I wanted it instantly there was a nominal fee or free which takes 2-3 days... I think I would call them...
I also have pp linked to me bank
I like,once again site has issues.Maybe its a way for the government to get stimulus money??
The bank account I use with P/P has limited funds in it. Transfer funds from my main account to account for P/P if I need money in P/P account. If someone gets into my P/P account and transfers money out of that separate bank account it won't be much.

You should have never even opened it. When something looks suspicious, delete it immediately. Opening it can complete the link to your email account and other emails.
