This was on the Cowl of the 66 Coronet when we media blasted it. I thought it was neat? Anyone ever seen anything like this before? Best, B.

Looks like the stamp that the mill puts on the coil of steel when it's made.....

Yes I had the same thing happen after media blasting. Shows how, gentile it is, leaves that on the metal but removes the paint.

EDIT. Spray some clear coat over it to save it. 2 part quality stuff, not rattle can.

Weirton West Virginia steel mill more than likely. Not far from where I grew up in PA.
Back when steel was made in the good 'ol USA.

I wish I could have figured out a way to save that, but it was on the under side of Cowl which got covered with the Dash. So, it won't really matter. Just found it Interesting.

We need a "cool" button.

May not be able to read it from this. It says, Eagle Auto Stripping. Then below that, "Best Strip Joint in Town".

My Dad had many cool Mopars. His first was a gold/gold 66 Coronet Deluxe 2 door post. It was a "demonstrater" with 1800 miles on it from Black River Falls, Wis. Dad paid $1800 for it. I saw it last at Iola car show, still origional, still prestene but now has 440 in it

Yep. In the mid 70's when Chrysler wasn't doing so hot we got all kinds of junk in the new cars at the dealership.
Bottles , cans, plenty of broken glass, empty cigarette packs. The factory workers were being told that Chrysler was going under and any day might be there last.Quality was very bad. Our factory warranty claims were off the charts as they say.

What I can say is that when we took the Coronet apart, we found several bolts/screws under the carpet and down the inside of the back doors. It probably had a rattle every once in a while. As part of taking this car down to the nubs, we also found a small like Mattel car, a small plastic soldier and a Criss Cross done with Gum Wrappers. :). It appears that my wife and her siblings poked some stuff in the Windows as the family did their Western U.S. trips pulling the 16 ft camper. When we get SP done, we will have those to show the Brother and Sister. The Bolts and Screws came from the Line, I would guess. Best, B.

Just did mine both the bad one and the replacement (original) had that on it. The other interesting thing I found was on the inside of trunk lid, in black grease pencil the word, blu 775, meaning blue streak 775-14 tires
