I am trying to install the right front brake line from an "Inline Tube" kit on my 1978 Magnum. The car has A/C, emission control stuff and Cruise Control. I can't seem to figure out how to install this without cutting and splicing (or removing the engine:eek:.) Is anyone familiar with this kit? Any ideas? Thank you!

My friend, that one is no fun to put in since it is behind the engine and has to get under a bunch of wiring. Just remember that the line will take a pretty good bend and not cause any issues. I have not worked on this model but have put other Inline systems in. I would straighten out the elbow that goes to the proportioning valve so you wont have that headache to deal with as you try and feed it under the wires. I would also unbolt everything on the firewall that you can so you can slide it behind a lot easier. If I remember right there is a metal tab above the transmission that secures it to the firewall. Not a lot of room there. In the past I have put a heavy blanket on the air cleaner and then placed a sheet of plywood on top of that so I could "lay" on the engine and have both hands free to adjust the line as needed during the pull. I you do this make sure you watch that grill. You will need a 2nd person so the extra line is not slapping your paint and everything else. Once you get the firewall section you can arch up the piece that goes along the right frame rail to give you enough clearance to slide it in. Still no easy task, just don't kink it. The line will recover from gentle bends. Again, I have not done this model so the above may be of no value to you what-so-ever. Good luck

^ Ditto. I did it myself once a long time ago. You have to remove the throttle cable, slide it under some wires, slide it behind the trans dipstick, etc. It can be done.

My initial attempt was to try to fish in in from below, starting on the passenger side. Today I will try by starting on the drivers side from above. Hopefully I can get it under the brake booster, above the steering shaft and through the wires, (to Grandmothers house we go...) then lay the rest of it in from above. Thank you for the encouragement!!
