When responding to a PM and you want to attach pics, is there anyway to do it besides typing in the URL? I'd rather just take it from my photos on the computer.
 
i completely agree with you Fran,as far as the site needs to make money.
however,limiting the pics option to gold members only doesnt help anyone in reality.
it just creates more issues for everyone involved,
email addies back n forth and then half the time it all falls apart.

theres irony in the ability to start a new thread or topic with pics of everything from nudie pics to political memes,and yet we cant send pics in pm.
 
Plenty of businesses run ads on this site. I’d assume that they pay for them.

Even though I'm not a gold member, I understand that this site needs needs to be supported if you want the full benefits. I do disagree with you, but I'm not going give you the red X. My advice is get over it, I did.

No sweat off my sack, just do it a different way. But with all the sponsors plastered all over the site......just saying.

I don't really think that the sponsors even come close to covering the costs incurred here.
Sponsors who pony-up the cash are few and far between.

A Gold Membership has many more benefits...if you enjoy and appreciate the site, it's a small price to pay for the benefits gained here.

it would be Extremely therapeutic if we didnt have to jump thru hoops to make deals happen.
i cant count how many times these email deals didnt work out because the pms went into the wrong folders.
a lot of people get as far as exchanging email addies and thats it.
plus,it Forces us to give away our privacy to who knows who this person really is ?
counterpoint and just my opinion.

I have never heard of any issues like that happening here. If your personal message goes to the wrong person it's because you sent it there. I have sent hundreds of Pm's on 5 of Joey's sites with no issues. These sites cost money to operate and the gold membership is just part of the big picture.

I agree with Mike here....I have sent hundreds & hundreds of Private messages here , and FABO.....I save every one of them, and this is what has accumulated since the last software upgrade.....

Some of those have many replies in them. The largest has nearly 800 pages in the one thread. :D

i think you are either misunderstanding or just not trying.
first,both of your replies are speaking of the pms here only.
im talking about Email Offsite.
ill explain again.

it starts here,then we Cant post pics in pm-s.
so we are Forced to go offsite to make a deal happen.
this is foolish and its being called okay by you guys.

second,and quite disturbing to me,
is the way you both Ignored the point i made about giving out email info on this site.
esp considering the Fact that you guys still have thieves and scammers as members.
youve personally told me before that you cannot remove them.
so,this whole business of " taking the deal offsite "
it might make you guys feel better,but it Doesnt make Us safer and tbh it puts Us at Risk.

or is that the whole point?
you guys just dont want to be responsible for anything?
remember,im not banging on you guys,im trying to logically discuss this.
yes,i speak quite bluntly dont take it personally Please.
 
@BeatersRus scammers are going to do what they do on site or off site. That's what they do. It's a shame, but that's the way it is.
 
I'm not a staff member but there is never enough gold membership. The trouble shooting problems that get resolved here is worth the 40.00 bucks a year. Not to mention that we all have a place to go to and express everything from cars to toothpaste it works for me. I understand what you are saying and I get it maybe as time goes on things will change up.

Many members send their e mail addresses and phone numbers through a PM to a prospective buyer or seller. For your internet security, it's a bad idea to post that informationin the forums for all to see. That's one of the reasons why personal messages are here for you to use. As far as I know, posting photos in PM's are the only thing you can't do in a PM unless you are a Gold Member. That's one of the benefits to being a Gold Member.

We didn't ignore your point. Wheeling, dealing, , comments, e mail addresses ,phone numbers, and personal information is a bad idea and not allowed on sale or wanted threads. Site rules from the owner. His site, his rules. Another perk for Gold Members is they are allowed to post their e mail and phone. I personally do not recommend it but I allow it because it's in the rules.
