Hi folks ,
Yesterday I see one cable from the engine harness are not was used tape it , I remove the tape and put some heat shrinks on and leave it like that first, because I think I not have this accessories installed for this cable ...

But anywhere it’s interesting me for what this cable normally use, and I think it has to be in the top hole on right side of the connector , right ? becazse there is one free slot , like you see on the picture , free slot and the black cable from the harness .

Try to get an engine bay schematic diagram and it will show you what will go in that position. Also you will be able to find the wire and trace it by the diagram. If you haven’t, look at the bulkhead connector from inside the car and see if there is a wire going to that position.
Try googling engine bay wirings for your brand and model. Good luck.

Has that harness been modified? Im trying to match the color codes with the schematic and I dont see a match. I see black with a tracer, then black, then green on top.

I'm fairly certain that wire is part of your forward light harness, middle position of your bulkhead. I can clearly see the M&H decal on the binding tape. I would be going through your wiring if a reproduction harness has been butchered.

The black wire you show that is un-plugged is your main feed from the Alternator. It gets plugged into the middle firewall harness. Second from the left on the bottom. (P) Here is a pic showing which slot. I have an Orange arrow pointing to it. The top right slot stays empty unless you have A/C

Here is a complete diagram for the whole car except accessories like power windows, tape player, cruise control and power seats.

Hey thank you very much .
It’s normally to see in the dash are the alternator load the batterie , mean to the ampermeter instrument , right ?

It looks like that empty slot goes to an AC compressor, which you may not have thus empty slot. Man that's lot of stuff crammed in there on a 68. You'd think they could've spread things out a little bit to give a person some room to work. I see the starter relay tucked in there too. Those engineers aren't think ahead clearly.
