Hi Guys, so I’ve been told that my front suspension is shot on my 67 Coronet RT. I’m looking for recommendations on the best place to purchase rebuild parts. I would also like to convert to manual disc brakes on the front at the same time. Disc setup needs to work with my Magnum 500 wheels. I’m only using this for cruising and street driving. I’ve seen a lot of conversation about synthetic vs rubber bushings and torsion bar size etc. as I said, I’m looking for comfort and not planning to race it. Your help is appreciated
 
As far as a disc brake conversion, Dr Diff sells some decent kits that are priced right, and his customer service is second to none. Factory style rubber bushings will give you a smoother, quieter ride than poly. I've switched to using USA made Proforged bushings over Moog since their stuff is now made overseas. Proforged is nice quality.

2nd on Dr Diff. I have '67 Coronet 440 4dr and did manual front disc conversion. 15 inch rims w larger discs. Everything fit perfect.
 
I hear that Dr Diff is the way to go from many members. I went with Right Stuff purchased from Summit and had a great experience with them. There’s probably a price difference but I never checked.

I live between Pendleton and Lapel. I have some Mopar friends that live down around Whiteland.
 
For a decent stockish ride just go to Rock Auto and get all the bushings, ball joints, rod ends etc. You might want to confirm they are 440 torsion bars while you’re in there, those factory bars on the smaller engines were kinda squishy.

Also helpful. If you’re running radials the alignment isn’t the same as the original bias ply. You’ll want a couple degrees of positive caster to keep it from wandering. Figure 1-2 degrees more than the FSM says. You often can’t get this with the regular replacement bushings. You’ll see they sell offset bushings, you’ll want those, at least on the front or back to get that caster.

On eBay you can get a fairly cheap home alignment kit. If you’re diligent the results are great. If you take it somewhere, make sure they understand the caster change.

I used the Leed disc brake conversion kit. Works great. Manual disc may be a tough push. Make sure you know what the calipers and rotors they give you are from. You’ll need replacements some day.
 
Did you have to do any modifications like change spindles, etc?
It was a couple yrs ago. I believe spindles are changed. It's a kit. You check the options you want and hit purchase. Pretty straight forward.
