Need a battery tray for my 78 magnum .
The original one is long gone and I have no clue what it supposed to look like? I remember seeing a post here, but now I can't find it. It was about using a C-body battery tray because it was similar. So from what model and year C-body?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance, Tony Tee.

When I needed to replace the battery tray for my 1976 Cordoba, I found the thread and ordered the C-body tray. It didn't fit. Not even close. I ordered a battery tray for a 1973-1974 b-body. I had to modify that one, but most importantly to me, it had the bolt hole in the proper location for the support that sticks up from the engine bay. I used that bolt and the two in the radiator support. I also had to modify (cut) the part of the tray that is near the wheel well. Good luck!!

Thanks! 71newp.
I have no clue what the battery tray looks like? Wish I had some pictures. Can't find any detailed pictures in the factory service manual either. I'll probably just make something that fits. You can't really see it after the battery and the hacked up thermo-guard cover is in place anyway.
But hopefully somebody will point me in the right direction with some pictures or even some used parts.? ??

74-78 C body battery tray bolts right in to a 76 Body. I just did it recently. No clue if 78 B is different but wouldn't be surprised based on the thermal guard with integrated washer bottle.

Thanks! But I Google it and searched for it on eBay and it doesn't exist right now. They must be out of production. Where did you get yours?

Out of a 75 C body I parted.

Ya know what - I'm wrong. Just looked in the 76 parts book and it shows a different tray for the C body. It doesn't sit square against the rad support so one corner has a bump out.

This is the problem you get when ya don't tag yer spares and / or mix different bodies in the same box. I must have scored a B body one in the boneyard and thought it came from one of the Cs I sliced.

Thanks. I made a plane jane stainless steel tray from a junked BBQ grill for now. But I'll keep an eye out for a correct one. Thanks for your help.
