I'm having a new well drilled tomorrow and I couldn't locate a water douser to help locate a good place to drill, So they are drilling based on geographical data. I feel like they are drilling blind. I'm on the hook for the cost of the hole whether they hit water or not. So any prayers would be great.

Since the well is in the ground it seems that a Witch or Satanist would have jurisdiction on the grounds of proximity.

I may have the same issue in Maine. Best of luck

As a geologist witches drive me crazy. One guy said he could roll around on the dirt and if he got a boner there was oil there. Might as well get your fortune told and ask if you will hit the water. I've been on oil wells that were divined by witches and there is no oil there. That's a $500,000 gamble.

I don’t believe in water witching either, but I do pray that it works out well for you (no pun intended).

I can do it with two "L" rods. Some have it some don't. It's not witchcraft, it has to do with magnetism and energy more than anything. I've done it and handed them to someone else and nothing happens for them. I've found some who can do it also. You don't know unless you try it.

When I built my last house, I made a set of L rods out of copper romex wire. Went for a walk around the site where the house was to be built and I had good results right where the well would fit in with everything else going on. The well driller came and I didn't tell him where I had already found this location. He came up with the same spot. When he set up and started drilling, water was struck at 30 ft. Went down to 60 ft and hit water again but it was sandy and wouldn't clear up. So he went on down to 90 ft and hit water again. Finished the hole at 120 ft for a reserve. He installed 90 ft of well casing because of the sand at 60 ft.

The next day he came back with his pump, checked the water level and it was 15 ft from the top of the casing. Set his pump up and started it, the level went down one inch and stayed there for four hours. So it ended up being a perfect well. Plus this was on top of a hill, one of the higher elevations in the immediate area.

I've also used them for finding underground wires and pipes many times.

Wow, you sure you don't own any pointy hats or robes with symbols on 'em? :)

 Nope! I had seen it done before and thought I'd try it.

Folks that can do this are pretty common in these parts and most of them are for real. I've witnessed it in person myself - I even have a friend who is very shy about the "talent" but is dead accurate when he is talked into doing it.
I asked him to check my place out up here on the ridge many years ago and he about went nuts on me, because his rods indicated water practically everywhere in about a 100' wide x several hundred foot long area of the field.

Of course, I didn't tell him about the underground "lake" that's below part of our property, the one the spelunkers from UT had discovered years before. :)
They described it as "huge" with an enormous colony of bats. Helped me to decide to run a quarter mile of waterline up the ridge from the city main below instead. :)

I learned to witch Underground conduits and water pipes Using two pieces of #4 solid copper
wire with handles bent 90 degrees on them. Did this work in my trade as an electrician doing underground services in subdivisions. It works it’s not voodoo it’s science all it takes is some practice.

I was looking through YouTube videos for a good example of how it's done and I couldn't believe how many are acting like it's some kind of mombo jombo. They are talking to their L rods, asking them questions and so on. It's pretty funny with some of them. The vid I posted is more like how it works. There was one gentleman who has been doing it for fifty years and is pretty down to earth about it. With practice he has been quite accurate even being able to tell how deep the water table is. He claims that 10% of men and 90% of wemon can do it. Lol

I think it has to do with the amount of energy that's in you system, as in electrical energy. I worked in the maintenance dept at a hospital and we had a very sensitive multimeter for checking current drain in computer controlled equipment. Fooling around one day I discovered when touching both probes I could get a reading on the meter. Only one other coworker could do the same but no one else could.

Hope cncguy hits a good well

I have used copper wire to find water lines in concrete. I marked them with chalk then had them checked with a thermal camera I was amazed that it worked
