Hi Folks, SP came with and still has the original 361. When we got her out of the Barn, there was no Sticker on the Air Breather of the Engine on top. There was a sticker on the side that announced it was not an Oil Bath, but nothing on top like I have seen on the 383s. Should there be one and if so, what was the 361 called? Thanks in advance, Best, B.

No air cleaner top name sticker or pie tin for any 361 or 383 B-body in 1966 or 1967. Just the service sticker you mentioned.

You will see people try to jazz it up with their own ideas but it was never done from factory and looks silly.

My first ride. Lowest production MOPAR (1 of 62) I have owned:
'66 Coronet 500 Convertible, 361-2V, 4-speed, posi rear end
Factory notification in the glove box. My car had the last posi rear end that was installed for the '66 model year.

'74: Bought a brand new GTX Roadrunner
Ex-'Nam bud pestered me incessantly to sell him that '66 Coronet Conv. Ex-wife had just taken everything in a divorce. Left him with barely two nickels to rub together. Let him have that lady for $50 and a cold beer

At that time, no access to production statistics, etc. Had no clue that '66 Coronet 500 Conv was a low production model.
Would give just about anything to have that sweet ride again. Live, learn, and try to not look in the rear view mirror, eh?

Wonderful to hear about another 66 Coronet 500 361 4 spd with Sure Grip. Do you know if it still exists and/or where it might be? Love the Tach. Best, B.

Unfortunately, my ex-Nam buddy and the '66 Coronet 500 are history. All I have are a few pics and a lot of great memories.
Am totally envious. Your ride looks awesome. Congrats!

I am very sorry to hear it and your buddy are gone. So sorry. Thank you the complement, we are trying our best to make a good car. I do wish you the best, B.
