What was your first album/tape/CD?

Mine was Foghat's Fool for the City. Won it on the local radio station and had to get my mom to bring me to pick it up. I was 13 I think. Still have it.
Dang, how old are you?? My first record was a 45 from the 50's lol

1st music I bought was 45s , One was the Beatles . still remember it had a green apple label , revolution on one side and hey jude on the other. The other I recall was a Hendrix 45 with Foxy Lady and Hey Joe.

About 1969 or ‘70 older brother gave me Edgar Winters White Trash and Deep Purple Who Do We Think We Are. Sister gave me CCR Willy and The Poor Boys. I was hooked, and still listen to those today. The first I bought myself was Steppenwolf, around 1970.

Queen “Another one bites the dust”
Second was Led Zeppelin II

Guess I'm an old fart at 69....but that was a very good year too! :D Graduated in 69 and the 69 road runner was car of the year....! Doubt we'll see another year like that one. :(

This is embarrassing, mine was Beach Boys - Suffer Girl 8 track. I also joined the Columbia House tape club for $1 and got 12 tapes but had to buy 12 more at club prices. What a mistake.

Nothing wrong with that. My first album was the Beach Boys "Endless Summer". I was probably 10 at the time (55 now). My dad likes the Beach Boys, so I followed suit. Now I'm into heavy metal.

Here's my story, it's sad but true
It's about a girl that I once knew
She took my love then ran around
With every single guy in town

Styx Mr. Roboto 45. Bought it for $1.79 in the early 80’s. Still have it.

Couldn't afford albums early on, so had a small number of 45's. Early Beatles and the like. I think the first actual LP album I got was used from a friend: The Rolling Stones. Felt like I had reached the big time.

The first one I bought was a Beatles best of album. I probably bought it in the early or mid '70s. It has a silver jacket. I still have it. I listened to a lot of Beatles with my older brothers in the '60s, who I believe had first edition copies of their albums (still have them). I don't listen to the Beatles as much anymore - I'm more into the The Scorpions, Black Sabbath, Hendrix, The Outlaws, Kansas, Van Halen, AC/DC, etc....

Oh man, I can mention sooooo many bands over the years!!!

Alice Cooper's Greatest Hits was my first album. Released in 1974 and I still have it.
