What was your first album/tape/CD?

Doobie Brothers 8 track "Best of the Doobies" was in the player of the first car I bought, a 1969 383 RoadRunner. China Grove still brings back memories.

The debut Foreigner album.
Still one of my favourites.

First CD I got was in 85 was a Forigner album....Disc-man by Sony .....lives in Scotland at the time

Grand Funk Railroad: "All the Girls in the World Beware"

Most of you are youngsters. From Columbia records I have Petula Clark, Wolvertine mountain, can’t remember Singer, Johnny Horton , Marty Robbins, have a lot of stuff from late 50`s. Someone had a song He’s in the big house now. I skated many hours listening to his album. Golly that was in 1956-7. I have albums going back to the 50`s. Just remembered it was Lee Roy Van Dyke, who sang I`m in the big house now.
Also have vinyl like 60`s some 70`s. Most used, i am going to let it go.
I will figure out my first purchase.
I have a lot of 8 tracks and cassettes.
First 8 track I bought was in Courtney British Columbia in 1970. We drove out there in our 67 318 Charger that we still have now. Very rusty, sold once and came back home, because the owner didn’t think he could do it justice .
First 8 track was the album by? Rain Drops Keep Falling on my head. Second was sound track to Easy Rider. We didn’t have am radio access in the mountains then. If you are bored you should ignore some of my posts.

Oh no please god help me!

Wow you had everything with AM/FM/SW.

I still have an old stereo console in my storage with a turn table, AM/FM plus SW1 SW2 & SW3... It's of no use to me but I can't seem to get rid of it either, my folks bought it new in 1952... It still works

Good for you, we have a very good console entertainment centre that is from the 60`s. Has record player. Adapters for other things

Gene Simmons solo album 1978

before that, I listened to my sister's stuff ( she was 10 years older than me )

I bought the 45 of "Convoy" in 75 or 76.

Then I bought the 45 of "Another One Bites the Dust" in late 79.

First album was Alice Cooper- Flush The Fashion in 1980 followed closely by Rush- Moving Pictures.

When I got my first cassette player/recorded I was given my first tape, a Jimi Hendrix/ Otis Redding combo. First one I bought was Jethro Tull, Living in the Past. First album bought, Pink Floyd, DSOM.

My third album in 1981 was Styx- Paradise Theater.

I've had that album ever since and only last week, and after reading a site about odd albums did I notice it has laser etching on the tops of the grooves!

BTW- if you spin Another One Bites The Dust backwards, it clearly says "got to smoke marijuana, marijuana, marijuana".

...and it's NOT back masking!
