Wow talk about an early build. Must have been built on the first few days of production for 69 model year. Aug 8th, '68?

I am still learning about fender tags and what they mean but I could give yours a try. I AM NOT AN EXPERT, there are plenty more knowledgeable people on here than me like @MoparNation. Please let me know if I get any wrong. The information I am providing to you is from 1996 Chrysler Car Enthusiast magazine. Starting with the very bottom row of the fender tag.......

RS23= GTX 2-door Hardtop
E86= 440 Super Commando
D32= Heavy Duty TorqueFlite transmission
808= August 8th 1968 build date
803506= Sequence number

2nd Line From Bottom-
B5= Body paint
B5= Upper door frame paint
P6C= I got nothin on this, sorry
B7= Blue interior

3rd Line From Bottom
1W= Plain hubcaps (as far as I know)
6W= White stripe (I am pretty sure anyway)

4th Line From Bottom (2nd from top)
917= I got nothin on this too, sorry
595= 65 amp alternator
093= it has to do with tires but not sure which
P31= power windows

Sorry I got nothin on the very top numbers. I hope this helps you out, so very sorry if it does not. As I said I am NOT an expert, there are plenty more knowledgeable people on here than me

I could help out a lot more if i had my 69 roadrunner book here (i dont) but im almost positive the 917 595 093 are engine ,trans and rearend code, on a lynch road tag. They are for my lynch road rr. The top row, except for the vin code on the top right, are meaningless for our purposes. Gate codes and other such stuff. Tells which assy line it was made on.
I believe there were three assy plants that did b-bodies in those years, L.A., St.louis, and lynch road. Each had different formats to their tags, and different info that they would put on the tag.

P6C- blue and white bucket seat interior. B7- blue upper door frame paint. 1W- white vinyl top. 6W- white longitudinal stripe. 917- last 3 digits of the engine assembly part number. 595- last 3 digits of rear end assembly-3.23 8 3/4 sure grip with 11 inch brakes. 093- trans part number 2892093. That number should be stamped into trans on the driver's side just above the pan. P31- power windows. The two numbers on the top left are gate and sequence numbers for plant use. The last 8 digits of your V.I.N are on the top right.

B03506 is the Vehicle Order Number. The B tells us the car was built for sale in Canada.

the sequence number 100340 tells us this was the 340th body in white assembled for the year so yes, this car was probably started on the first day of production.

Was I partially or mostly correct? For a vinyl top I thought it was V then whatever it was?

What would the white longitudinal stripe like like?
I'm changing the car to black vinyl top, keeping the blue interior and not sure if I'll change the seats to black or blue yet.

Go to 68-70 forum, search" longitudinal stripes", look for "69GTX longitudinal stripe install?"

It helps a lot thank you.
I just need to figure out the 6w stripe now. I thought it was similar to Red on stripe I've seen on the lower black painted areas just below the belt line trim.

6W is the thin white line above the black. I have one also,

Big D, thats a road runner, isnt the GTX stripe different?

You are correct. Thank you for pointing out my error. This is what happens when a Dodge guy comments on a Plymouth :). I have removed the V6W Roadrunner picture to prevent confusion. I see 3 codes for the Sport Stripe on the GTX. V6W, V6R, or V68 (Delete). Yes, it is the single wide below the trim line on the GTX.

Sorry for the confusion....
