Installed ne intake, carb and upgraded to electronic ignition. Now car cranks fine runs good for about 10 seconds and then starts terrible knocking then will eventualy stall.I can let sit for a few minutes same thing happens.I have checked plug order and firing order found TDC. Help can't wrap m head around this one.

Do you have a timing light? Check to see where it is at idle. Too far advanced or too late will cause weird things. Set it for 12 degrees BTDC and see what it runs like.

New intake right? Way off-the-wall guess. Are the intake bolts hitting the pushrods? (You wouldn't be the first)

Terrible knocking like pinging or terrible knocking like rod knock?

Guessing if there were no problems before, the the rod knock sound is probably “dieseling” Just before it stalls completely, it makes a loud knocking sound. I would go back to what work you have just done. Check the reluctor gap and that it’s tight, also the module in the distributor could be suspect.

you didnt by any chance wire the distributor cap Backwards did you??
counterclockwise versus clockwise...?

hopefully you didn't drop a bolt or something down an intake runner.
I would have to be there to hear the knock before I can suggest anything constructive. I've changed intakes/carbs and distributors a hundred times and I've never encountered anything like that.

A couple items I'd look at......
Pull those plugs and check 'em. I'd expect a stray item down a intake runner would make short work of one.
Recheck the plug wire set. If 5-7 are swapped it may run surprisingly well at idle.
Re-time with vac advance plugged. Does attaching vac advance cause the "knock"?
Oil pressure dropped? Drain and inspect the oil for bearing particles.
