Hi, I am wondering if a 225/70/15 tire on a 15X7 rim with 3.75 backspacing will fit fine on a 67 Coronet. I believe it will but am being extra cautious.

Yeah, you are. You can fit a much wider tire than that if you choose.
Try this from now on: Measure the clearance to the body and the leaf springs using the existing wheel and tire that you currently have. Look up the published specs of the tire that you want to use. If the desired tire is 3 inches wider, assume that it will be 1 1/2" added to each side of the current tire. If you have 2 1/4" or more clearance currently, you're fine. 3/4" of clearance is often enough to avoid contact.

Yes, easy fit. I have 225/70 15's on all 4 corners of a 67 GTX. They're on 15X7 chrome magnums. I'm not sure of the backspacing, but at least 3.5

Will a 15 inch rim clear the tie rod end? That is what I am concerned about in the front, with the 14's I have currently with a 205/75/14, there isn't much room

The larger diameter actually improves clearance.
