So i searched on the forums and i have no idea why i cant find any information. Im sure its on here.

Anyways I have a RB440 in a 1966 Charger.

I have a number of serious issues with a head and so both are coming out for some aftermarket goodness.

Well thats the idea.

I have in it currently a very old very rusty set of longtubes. The old heads have junk studs, and eyeballing the removal looks like a problem. passenger side looks like the motor has to get shifted. I really dont have an ability to do this. So if I sawzall the old headers out, pull the old style heads with the studs will i be good with a new set of heads?

The new heads are the stealth heads from 440source. I am not going to be running those studs the oem heads had and so hopefully ill be good?

You should be able to take the headers loose from the heads enough to remove the heads. After removing the heads you should be able to take the headers out from the top or bottom.

Does anyone have a link to some sure fit nice headers? I see the range from 200-700. I guess if I spend for the nicer ones I’d really like to not hammer the Jesus out of them to go in. I imagine the 200 ones will require some Thor’esk work to get in

TTI headers fit like a glove and you don’t have to beat on them. Google TTI Exhaust and several links will pop up.

With headers, it actually is true that the more you spend, the better they get.
These days, the consensus amongst Mopar folks are TTI and Doug's. Both have their
avid supporters.
I can tell you from the other end of the price spectrum, Hedman's blow dead bear.
Have a sledgehammer ready if you buy those. :)

Spend the coin and get the good ones, especially on a 440 as things are just that much tighter.

I just put a set of Doug's D452 headers on my Charger yesterday along with a set of Edelbrock RPM heads
The fit is perfect! I have never installed a set of headers that didn't need a ding or two.
No clearance issues and the finish looks great
The price is almost 400 less than the TTI

Still need to refinish the intake and install the valve train but I am very happy with the headers
