I'm Tom from Indiana. I recently bought a 1973 Dodge Charger SE. It is a numbers matching, U code 440/auto car. It has been not been on the road in 30+ years! The body is mostly solid but it still needs some work. I have been a Mopar guy all of my life and have owned several Chargers. I sold my 69 Charger in 2006 and have wanted to get another Mopar for quite some time. This website looks like a great resource.

Welcome to the fun. I joined awhile ago and have met some really great people here.

Welcome
Cool car, great engine.
My first Mopar was a 71 Charger R/T, 440HP 4bbl, SlapStick auto, open 3.23 8¾.
Bone stock w/52k miles in 1978. Lots of fun putting 3 friends in the Charger and smoking the new Camaros and Trans Ams, with the A/C on...

Welcome to the site. Great car, what are your plans for it? Or are you going to keep it like that and drive it as is?

I have a '73 Charger SE with the HP 400. They are excellent vehicles.

Welcome from Alabama, another Charger making a comeback. Glad to have you.

Welcome from Vermont. Nice ride, my pal up the road has a 73 SE with a 400 that's built with a huge intake sticking out of the hood with a bug catcher scoop.

It will be a restomod. My plan right now is to get it road worthy. I have had for almost a month. I got the engine running and I have the brakes working. I am working on a power steering issue right now. I have ordered new vinyl and foam for the seats. I will need to do some work under the dash. The heater/AC box is out of the car. I have not decided what to do with the body yet. I am leaning toward painting it yellow with a black vinyl top.
