Classic Industries

I ordered parts from LMC Trucks. The parts were a window regulator, power gear and the widow fuzzies.
All stated they were in stock and ready to ship.Got everything BUT the regulator in less than a week.
The regulator was back ordered, no date as when I may get one. :BangHead: I only placed the order because their web stated all was in stock. :soapbox:

Classic Industries had a notice on their website stating that they were closed for a couple weeks thanks to Gov Newsom's order here in CA. They are probably just backlogged with orders when people weren't there to ship out of the warehouse.

Sorry your stuff got delayed - but given the circumstances it's understandable (in my opinion anyway)... I was planning on ordering some parts for my Polara a few weeks back but put it off because I couldn't just show up and pickup.

Oh boy,I just ordered seat upholstery fro CI wonder how long that will take, the odd thing is Legendary told me September, and CI told me 3-4 weeks and they get most of the stuff from Legendary, and I live 7 miles from Legendary, this will prove interesting

I mean wtf...have they just given up ? I ordered a part from them a week and a half ago. I hear nothing until today. I find a new email notification fron FedEx that my package has been dropped off for shipment. FedEx estimates it will arrive 6/2. Good grief, thai is another week and a half. Maybe I am the impatient one here...but 3 weeks to get a fuel pump in pretty extreme. Of course all the shipping companies have slowed to a crawl during this pandemic, too. Hopefully I will get it on 6/2, but I am not going to hold my breath.
Two good weekends I could have been working on the car....and what am I doing instead ??? Yard work and mulch....yuck.
Ordered parts from Jegs 4/26/2020 received them 5/22/2020 GOOD=BY JEGS!!!!!!

It seems it's everywhere. I bought some stuff from a private person. 9 days later, I check USPS tracking. It said they are waiting for the part to be dropped off to them. He used Click and Ship. I argued with the guy for 2 days. Then the package showed up the next day. Apparently USPS had it, but no one put it into the system.

last couple weeks I bought small parts from individuals, they sent thru usps got from both guys in a very timely manner, several states away!!!!
Couple orders from Rock got here thru Fed X in good fashion, seems to be just hit or mi with usp or fed x!
I am old and still want instant gradification!!!? LOL

It's not the delivery services. I have friends who work for USPS and UPS and they told me that there was never a reduction in their labor forces during the fake pandemic...

When will it get here?

Exactly Dave, like I stated earlier what is supposed to be 3 to 5 day service is taking 4 to 6 weeks with USPS and Canada Post. I've had 10 packages shipped up from down South and any that went through NY or Chicago sat in their facilities for exactly 15 days. I would think, as I suggested, each load into a sorting station is set aside and worked on 14 days later.

Lol dads, my item is a China gem so I guess maybe they have it on "quarantine lockdown"! Possible Il and MI are in cahoots!
Then too, I hear studies have shown transmissions by items or hard surfaces are rare. More likely by spread by person to person. But like the Chicago weather, wait 5 minutes it will change or food that is good for you today all changes with the next taxpayer funded study!

Well I never said they weren't incompetent, just that their labor force was never reduced, if that was ever a thought about why they take so long. Oh dont get me wrong, I hate dealing with USPS or FedEx; UPS is the only shipper that has given me minimal grief.

The USPS is as they are because, just like during the pandemic, their jobs, salaries, pensions, etc, are guaranteed whether they earn them or not. If I had a job where I was guaranteed all of that I may not care about my job performance either...

A member here sent me a package from Cali to Texas in March and it only took a week. I have just purchased an intake manifold off eBay from Georgia. We will see how long that takes. It doesn't appear to be that slow for me. Just lucky maybe?
