FK5 Trial run. Whats the verdict?

Hi Alan, I'm actually doing some research right now on what to paint certain parts. Lot and lots of digging on here and the two other Charger sites. He's painting a few more brackets today and a pile of body coloured bolts for attaching doors and trunk cover and engine bonnet. I'll have to get to it tonight and blast the fender bolts and valance bolts for him. He mixed a little bit of paint to do this small stuff before the big show.

After reading Wayne's thread here and the other site, and seeing his detail I'm taking several extra picture just for clarity and my own version of detail. That being said... I can not compete or even try match his attention to detail.
But here is a picture of different bolt head markings on the hood bolts. Three separate stamps.

Thought I would add a little progress to the cause...
Baby steps.

Looking really really nice.

Yeah I never thought I would get all caught up with bolts, also realized that the factory sometimes uses a mix of bolts with different head patterns.

There’s a Triple K5 convertible 70 RR in my neighborhood with a k5 boot to match. Longtime owner, if I see it out this year I’ll snap a few pics and include them here!

Is this a formula that can be purchased over he counter or do i have to go through a autobody shop? I'm working on a FK5 roadrunner and this looks nice.
thanks, J

Roger likes to use the Matrix system. He says it easy to use and goes down nicely. He's been using it for years. He's painted a couple of Cudas and a few Harleys with it. He swears by it. And it does look great. I believe it's part of the Sikkens family. No custom mix, just their version of FK5 base coat clear. He only put down 2 coats of clear on the valance since he'll be sanding it back down.
Anything specific you wanting to know MG? I'd be happy to ask.

No I'm pretty sure you could go to a auto body supply store that mixes paint and they would be able to mix it up for you. If that is what you are asking me?

Yes Allan lots of the small stuff left to be done. But for now everything we need to bolt the body together for paint I think is done. Find out soon I hope??

At this point it's no longer a trial run. :) Reminds me of doing the 70 6 pack over 15 years ago.

Thanks guys! I'll post some better picture when Roger sends me some more with his really nice Cannon. Make my pictures look like stick men drawings. lol I'm just using my phone. His shows a lot more definition with the color.

Your right Jerry. I'm pretty well committed now aren't I? lol

Put me down as another fan of FK5. Gorgeous color when mixed right.
