I have a 69 road runner seem to be having a charging issue. I have an SDC serpentine pulley system so the alternator is a single wire, like out of a Dakota. My volt gauge is only reading 12 V can a voltage regulator prevent it from charging to 14 V. Had the alternator tested and it’s putting out enough voltage. Any help would be appreciated. This by no means there’s a Stocks set up fuel injection MSD all that good stuff.

Make sure you have a good, clean ground on the regulator. Also see if you have 12v to it on key up

I re-read your post. You have some aftermarket single wire alt on there? Not the Mopar w 3 wires in the back?

Some who knows the newer stuff will have to chime in. The Durango alt may be computer controlled, I'm not sure. There would be no where to even hook up that regulator

apparently the pcm controls voltage on the durango 1 wire so you will need to reg it externally!

I guessed 99 ish, looks like it does run to a PCM. Im not sure it will work with that regulator. It may work with some type of digital signal

It’s not that easy just to get a one wire alternator with the regulator. That particular alternator fits my serpentine belt set up

I thought 1 wire has internal regulator!
There are some aftermarket ones that are, but Chrysler's are usually pcm controlled. Same as old style regulator, only uses a digital signature vs old open/closing points to regulate voltage
