Ha! Tired of the LS swap?

I just like to keep brand names together. LS engines in GM, Coyotes in Ferds, etc.. Personally I don't like newer engines in older vehicles; just my opinion...

I agree, but my 5.7 hemi in my coronet is a sleeper. It just sits there running smoothly till you drop the hammer and then it's gone. The guy I bought it from has a 426 and ran them side by side many times and the 426 could not pass the 5.7. I will say the 426 in my opinion is the best engine ever made and I would have loved my car to be a 426, it wasn't and I guess I can live with that.

This is a good friend of mines car. He's GM all the way and I can't get him to go mopar. He has two of these and a 2015 Cadillac wagon with over 500 hp. I believe last year they made it. None of them have over 4 thousand miles on them. The one in the picture is the biggest sleeper I have ever been in. One is a stock 600 hp plus vette in a 4 door and the one in the picture was sent out to have the hp taken to 900. That thing is absolutely scary fast!! These new engines are so sophisticated it's nuts. Iike the hellcat and the 392 they are just clean and mean

Not much of a sleeper with that license plate and all the gingerbread tacked on it IMO. :)
Late model Caddy's aren't going to sneak up on much of anyone on the street - they're well known.

Sorry, Hey-O....
I like you and all but that Cadillac is hideous. It needs to be fast so nobody has to look at it very long.

:poke:

It looks like the Australian Holden that was used to make the Pontiac GTO about 10 years ago. The passenger side fuel door makes it more likely to be Australian. The wheel openings have a strange proportion to the shape of the body.

I don't know, that Cadillac looks about like any other late model car to me. It looks like they paid attention to aerodynamics. It's a fastback. It looks functional. I don't see any gingerbread. It looks like they took a page from Chrysler; the roof is inboard of the body like the old B-bodies so there's a ledge at the top of the door.
The problem with that car is that I don't think my '73 Charger will outrun it on the highway, which bothers me.
The station wagon in the background looks goofy.

You're not hurting my feelings, I don't like it either. It's just fast, really fast!!

That station wagon in the background is a new 2019 Dodge Durango GT Plus, it's mine. You don't think your 73 Charger will out run it on the highway, bring any amount of money and I'll bet you he smokes you. I never said it was nice, I said it was fast.

Sorry. Thought the station wagon was a Cadillac you mentioned.
I'm not making anywhere near 900 horsepower. Probably closer to 300. But, I'm hardcore Mopar and it bothers me that a Cadillac will get me on the highway. Nothing I can do about it. But I'm working on getting the Charger more competitive against the late models on the highway. Sorry you have to root for a Cadillac.

The subject was new engines and LS swap. All my personal vehicles are or were Chrysler since 1980 and my family since 1967. I owned two Darts when I was 20, 67 GT and a 69 340. I built GM because of my son and GM cars of the 80's, when he was in high school. Till I moved 7 months ago I personally owned 4 Chrysler products at once, just mine. I'm just glad I didn't mention that his brothers all own Lamborghini's and he's getting some sort of new Ferrari next year. I am and always will be a Chrysler man.
