What did you do to your Mopar today?

So I finally got some time to take off the fuel pump and opened it up (first time at this). Only thing I forgot was to take a reference photo for the orientation, shouldn't be to hard to figure out. Anyway I'm assuming this plunger seal looks worn enough so that it won't function properly. It's not separated or torn on the other side. There is a little bit of the small particals in the bottom section, but I don't think it's enough to mess it up. Nothing plugged. In the bottom seal you can see some of the grainy partical laying on it. I don't think this is a filter, at least not based on a couple of the rebuild kits I looked up.

Gutted my restoration battery.
I got 9 years out of it, so that was a win.
I’m going to put a small gel cell inside of the case.
What a mess!!!!!

I'm always happy to "lurk" in this thread and see all the cars being brought out of long
slumbers - and get DRIVEN!
For me, the GTX has already been out several times, although no cruise-ins or shows yet
(dang kung flu!). Actually, it's more of finding "reasons" to take her out, running errands and
such.

The wife is in on the ruse and plays along...
She even asked yesterday if the missing piece of trim we need to complete the kitchen redo
could fit in the Fred's (GTX's) trunk.
Forget the fact that an 8' long piece of trim won't fit in a trunk....I found that the fact she actually thought of asking that was pretty awesome in itself. :)
I'm a lucky boy to have her....and Fred!

I didn't work on my Mopar yesterday but I did help my friend put the matching numbers 383 engine and 4 speed manual transmission in his 69 Dart GTS. We also put the k frame, tortion bars,front suspension system and 4 piston disc brakes in it too! It was a good day in my garage!

Drove it.

Happened to drive past a shop and out front was a nice looking 72 Rallye Charger I've never seen before.

Didn't have time to stop.
 
My son got the power steering gearbox, steering column, and brake booster in the gtx after 25 years of neglect. He also pulled out all of the engine parts and cleaned up al of the gasket surfaces with a wire brush, and wiped the dust off. Ready for reassembly.

Told the charger its grounded until these fools stop this rioting crap in San Diego. Last thing I want is to be on the six o clock news running these idiots over...
 
200 mile, since I bolted this thing back together, inspection this afternoon. Considering I have a mile of gravel, in and out, each time I go for a tour she's looking good. Not a single stone chip, nothing but some road dust and what I thought was a rear crank seal (my engine was rebuilt 42 years ago!) or a trans input seal (51 years old) leaking it's actually just a rocker cover gasket.. wohoooo and my front right wheel was hot after the last tour. I thought my brake was dragging and was going to back it off, but appears despite loading and torquing the spindle bearings correctly upon assembly they set themselves a bit better and wheel has some rock. Runs smooth and quiet, so I'll snug both sides up again and see how they roll! Another excuse for a tour when the sun come back out later in the week. Nothing that I coated with RPM during the 4 year restoration has rusted, nor has the cosmoline I dipped my LCA's in changed in appearance.

Wow, doing a full frame for the car. What’s the car, what’s the plan?
70 Charger, grand tourer, Chassisworks suspension, flat handling, 3500 lbs, and as close to 50/50 weight distribution as I can get.

A good many more details are in the build thread and on the channel. It’s been a handful, but I feel like I just crested a hill and started picking up momentum.

Ordered parts, decide to go with A&A valve body and the Super Sprag. Everyone I spoke with @ Cope /A&A/ Coan/PATC/Turbo Action/727 Specialist were all great and helped me make a decision. Also recieved my grooved rocker shafts. Getting closer and closer to going broke...er finishing..
