Not long ago my wife backed into the Charger... then I backed it into my daily driver like an idiot!! The bright side is it presented the perfect excuse to redo the exhaust and fix a few other things lol.

As much as I loved the side exit exhaust it continued to be problematic getting dinged up so out the back it goes. I love the tucked look on the new Ram trucks so that was my goal. Pretty happy with it, now to fix the corner and get some paint on it.

I was pleasantly surprised when my idea actually worked, I made a stamping die, laid a chunk of car tire on it followed by a block of wood then a heavy steel plate and this is what it created. All that was left was to heat the inner lip and finish folding it in.. easy peasy.

Top picture far left side, it's just a piece of 3/8" plate with half of a pipe welded and blended to create the lip, picture on the right is after stamping then the middle is after clamping it to the die and hammering the edge over with the help of the torches. The car tire and wood was firm enough to form the metal to match the profile.

The pipes are 3" with 4" tips.

Not usually a fan of mods to muscle cars but honestly that looks great. Nice work!

It looks factory. I thought I’d say that since nobody else mentioned it

So, you used the thick plate as your pattern, right?

Did you have backup lights before this exhaust pipe modification?

Yeap, they sucked too lol. I'm coming up with a plan for that too. I hate being able to see the tank so I'm contemplating a small panel between the exhaust with horizontal LED lights, it would be flat black and very unnoticeable.

Nice looking stuff. I liked how the Dodge/Ram trucks rear bumper looked as well.

Good looking stuff Devin. You are the master of metal in my book.

On a side note anybody looking for a pair of shitty OEM reverse lights let me know. They're actually in good condition but the lighting sucks by today's standards.

I love how fearless you are to dive right in and make it happen.
looks great !
