Yes, pressed the sheetmetal over it.

I'm thinking of backing into mine.

Well not really...

For those who wanted to see how these were made here's another 2 done. Had a member ask for a set so this time I took a few pictures.

I leave about a 1/2" of sheet metal overlapping the cutout in the die.

Then place some heavy durometer material like a car tire over it then a heavy steel plate and press away.
Seeing how a standard press has a small footprint I usually move it around a few times before I'm happy with the way it looks.Next it gets clamped down in a way that prevents the metal from distorting.

Last is a little torch and hammer work, it rolls over pretty easy with a little heat.
