I've read all the different 6 pack tuning articles and it sure seems straight forward enough but I'm getting an odd result when I'm setting up my idle. I just had the 3 carbs rebuilt by a holly guy in town that other mopar 6 pack guys recommended. I set the outboard idle mixture screws at 1/2 turn out. Car fires up fine. I have an AFR hooked up and the car idles pretty lean (16.0). I back the main Idle Mix screws out a little at a time all the way to 2 1/4 turns and I'm still at 14.5 to 15.0 and the car does not idle well that lean. I have a promax set up and take outboard carb idle screws out to 1 full turn and the AFR goes to 17?
By opening the idle screws on the outboards I should be getting richer not leaner? Any thoughts?
