This question may have been asked and answered, but I have not heard. Are the Nat's in Columbus Ohio in August still on or cancelled? Registration deadline is approaching and I need to send mine in. Thanks for any info.

Hope it's open I'm going through the manufacturer midway and getting mines, all for free! Seen it done on tv without arrests.

So far they are on even though the Ohio State Fair for the same weekend was cancelled. I think Hoodguys Columbus is a go too for now.

Website says "yes!" I sent in my registration Friday. I think if Carlisle shows are held, absent a significant Covid spike of in Ohio, I would expect it to be on.

I was on the website yesterday and saw they were still a GO. Good thing - I was fully prepared to jump out the window if they were cancelling. I mean it's only a two-foot drop, but I would've made my point.:D

We are thinking about making this trip from southeast Texas. Would this be a good year to try and make it, or is the turnout going to be lacking?

I wish that I could say that things will be fine and make the trip to the show, but with all of the uncertainty created by the virus situation, I cannot suggest anyone to come out an expect a record turnout of cars and vendors. Being heavily involved in the hobby from the reproduction parts side of the hobby, the hobby needs all of the support possible. It is no different than the local Mom and Pop businesses located throughout Main Street, USA. The Spring Carlisle meet was off between 40 and 60% of the vendors and foot traffic was off by 60 to 70%, depending upon who you talk to.

Show and event organizers have been hit very hard and have no ideal on what they can accomplish and what liabilities that they face, should they continue to go on with the events. I know that we plan on being in Carlisle in a couple of weeks and will be in Columbus if things go off as plan. But we know going into the events, that attendance will be down and can only hope to break even. Many vendors for both events will stay at home. Spectators and participants will come who are within a two or three hour drive, but those traveling a longer distance will be reduced greatly.

Thanks for the feedback. I was really wanting to make this one to seeing as the 70’s are turning 50. We may just wait it out until next year.

Any idea if and when Carlisle will publish the vendors attending?

The Nats in Columbus does not publish a listing for the vendors attending. The Event Guide for Carlisle in now available on line at https://carlisleevents.com/docs/default-source/guides/2020-chrysler.pdf
If you should be inquiring about any particular vendors, it is best to call the ones in question as many have decided to stay at home. A couple are still on the fence and those who are coming will most probably be bringing less inventory.

All 67 feet of us will be there at "The Camping Spot" on Wednesday. Sending in my registration on Monday.
