and drinking beer. Saw my new neighbor up on a tall (14'?) step ladder standing on the very top of it trying to hang a swing in a tree. Told him he could borrow my 28' extension ladder and he declined....at first. About 10 minutes later he came asking for it lol. Other than that, I washed my 'new' 96 Dakota and have been cleaning up the shop.....and drinking beer :D

blow off the driveways & car ports lids/roofs

clean off the valley's on the house roof of pine needles
from winds we had

spray for the damn weeds

made a huge batch of macaroni salad
a bunch of the weeks food prep, seasoning meats etc.

walk/run the dog, all that before 11:00am pst
then I got on here :carrot:

I still have more to do too
I'm procrastinating now, stuff I really don't like doing
like painting & prepping the deck & house

It's only 95 here right now.......and cleaned a table top fan a bit ago. Man, it needed it too!

All was good till my phone blew up with a server problem at work. Had to run in and power cycle the damn thing. One of the VM's running on it handled the phones being recorded and was bitching about the failure along with the police department since it was there phones LOL. Fixed the VM and now drinking a beer. Damn and I am not even on call! Sorry if I lost some with the lingo.

Worked...like I do nearly every Sunday...except this was my first Sunday working since 22 March...for obvious reasons. Pretty busy.....
Quick paddle in my new (to me) surf kayak when I got home...then the heavens opened!

it's cool here today mid-hi 60's & sunny go figure (?) :realcrazy:
that's truly seasonably cool, for here especially when sunny

That's partially why I did most of that today,
I wouldn't sweat like a pig, as much...

starting to get warm again tomorrow mid 80's
it isn't even considered hot here, until it's 95*+ :poke:
that's really the more the norm, this time of year

:luvplace:

Worked the weekend shift this week.

Wife and I took a 80 mile trip in the Coronet. I needed an excuse to test out a speedometer I'm refurbing.

Didn't exactly "work" on the car. Took it out for the first test drive with the new AVS2, switched cars and met a friend from NY to hand off his 727 I recently completed for his 70 'Bee, helped watch inlaws 4 kids all under 14, got the car out again for an informal cruise at a local ice cream joint, cut grass, now enjoying a BEER.:drinks:

Felt like Harry Chapin.. "all my life's a circle"... or a long rectangle in my case..

Well, all I did was work on my car, except about 7:00 (started at 6:00) I tripped on the padded mat in front of the transmission bench and went down-hard. I landed on my left hand middle finger (the whole first section is swelled up and purple) and my right elbow, which transferred up to my shoulder, which is plenty sore. I sat around the house for 3 hours and went back to work on the car until 5:30. I bet I'm gonna be sore tomorrow!
Mike
PS: I did make some good progress on my car.

Today was a beautiful peaceful day in SoCal. Did a bit of mulch work on my patio to spruce it up and then met some guys from a group I belong to for an outdoor lunch and reminiscing session. It was the first time I’ve met friends in 3 months. Had a really great time. Planning a fishing trip this summer with the guys.

I had to replace the attic fan... actually skipped church to do it, since it's cooler up there in the morning. Then fixed the vent louver in the barn attic. Had a beer with my neighbor as he was burning tree limbs in his pine grove.

Bad wind storm a few weeks ago damage vinyl sidings. Working on replace 4 cracked panels..

Next door neighbor had a 90th birthday. Her sons had a party for her. Cool old lady !

Went to church in person for the first time in several weeks! We have had online services since the "lockdown"

"Only" 87 degrees today but 94% humidity.

Felt "jungle" hot and steamy.

It only rained for 10 minutes despite being overcast all day.

Took the opportunity to mow the yard.

Did manage to work on the chipped red paint on my machine gun exhaust tips.

Been in bubble wrap inside a box, inside a cabinet, on the screen porch for almost 10 years.

What are the odds the one I don't look at has a big chip and has bent louvers?

The other one is perfect.

My wife had a paint pen that was real close. Much better than the dark, bare steel.

Was able to bend "louver" section back with a flush cut plier device. Easier than I expected.

...and drank beer.

Hold on....OP (Cranky) disqualified drinking beer in the title, but then introduced it in the first post.....

Wise guy?

Actually, I've been on hard kombucha.

6.8% and USDA organic with live pro-biotics.

Pineapple chili flavor.

Perhaps not for everyone.

Drove back from NH early this morning. At the end of the day, went out for a pizza. In between, worked on the vehicles, but I know, we're not supposed to talk about cars in this thread.

Been clearing some wooded areas to plant good deer food! Royal pain! Rocky and way too many treed. We figured we hauled about 8-9 cord of wood out of just this little small area.. before ground work and after..
