Hello all.
There is no doubt that I have FAR more to gain than give at this site.
To say I am impressed by the work I've seen posted here would be an understatement. The extent of the projects some of you guys undertake along with your collective willingness to share is remarkable. Just about all of the of the projects pique my interest but the ones that get disassembled completely really blow me away.
Not a chance in hell that's ever going to happen to my charger. What is it that wise old sage from the city by the bay once said? "A man's got to know his limitations."
I haven't stripped any paint off yet but based upon what is clearly evident I purchased some of the sheet metal that will be needed to fix her up before paint. At this point just the left and right quarter skins that were being discontinued by AMD. Will probably need outer wheel houses if for nothing else to cut a section and match up with the new skins. Inner wheel wells will be patched where there are some pin holes. Trunk extensions & rear corners will more than likely be required as well. Trunk center looks ok, definitely some rust but doesn't look bad enough to warrant more than patches. Not sure if I'll attempt the work or farm it out. Maybe I'll have to give it a shot, my shop has migs, tigs and guys that can use them.
Anyway, she's never going to be a show car but she runs strong and really knows how to put a smile on my face. I'll show her some love, get her back to her original F5 and take it from there.
Thank you all for the posts that I have already seen and in advance for the posts I know I will need to see!

Thanks guys. New to the forum thing, not sure if its proper to answer each reply individually or if a collective response is ok.

After LOTS of hours scrubbing and under the shop's new LED lights. Pic is a bit misleading, she is a nice 20 footer.

Thank you! Had the pleasure of purchasing some used machinery from a gentleman in Auburn a few years ago. From the map it looks like you are not too far from there. Beautiful farm country up by the finger lakes.

Damn dude! Now you are making my mouth water!
Circumstances keep me downstate, family, biz etc. Born and raised down here but long for a change.
Hopefully one day I can relocate north. My brother has a 2nd house in the Catskill area that I love getting away to. get's me out of the city once in a while. Think I'm a country boy at heart.

Thank you sir. Like I said to mr.b a little earlier, it's a flattering shot. I have a bunch more that are not quite so (full disclosure ...lol) but it is a very complete, numbers matching example and my one and only.
Flew into St. Louis with the family a few years ago, made a trek to Branson stopping along the way to take in the sites. Last thing before heading back was a trippy zip line tour in the woods. Had to do the arch too before going home. Great vacation.

Hi davek, hi Dennis H,
