New from NY

Well, Technically, Vermont is in the New England section of the USA.
New York is in the North East.

That's pretty funny. I was thinking the same thing, but being that I'm such a nube I didn't want an ill worded joke to be misinterpreted and have someone label me a wise *** so soon.
Thanks for the welcome (and your service!).

PS. No disrespect will ever be intended, promise!
good idea! We had a guy do that very thing yesterday on a thread here and it didn't go over real well. lol. Your doing a better job here in the welcome wagon than most bother with. Very cool. And your welcome. There's many here who are vets.

Double check the New England states group!
Every state east of New York is considered part of the New England region of the US.

It's not a battle guys. It was simple humor over the Pacific North West identification. It doesn't matter.

Welcome to the site from Pasadena......Tx. Been a long time since being in NYC and didn't care for it back then but ended up living not far out of Houston. Been here for a long time but the the majority of the roads out here were 2 lanes and several were dirt. Down here, dirt roads were covered with crushed oyster shells. Even the road I live on was crushed shell at one time and is one of the few roads that hasn't been downgraded to concrete from asphalt with no curbs. Now all the main roads are 4 lanes with center turn lane and there's one that's 6 lanes with a center turn lane that's less than a mile away. Last of the country areas here but things are building up around it fast. Sucks.

More dirt roads in Vermont than paved. We like it that way too.

Used to live in Massachusetts and most of the roads out of the city (Taunton) were barely 2 lanes wide blacktop and were smooth and perfect for doing burnouts on lol. The majority of the country roads here are real course and will shred tires but they have to be that way since it's pretty hot here. The smooth asphalt like around my home town wouldn't last very long here.

Welcome aboard from Ohio, (the northeast corner!)

nothing at all to do with geography, rather MY paranoid nature as a New Yorker and not wanting to give too much information to anybody.

Thanks Cranky. Trust me, you'd probably like it even less now, sorry to say. I used to love it here but for a while what has been going on in this city is beyond my comprehension. I'm in at least one of the 5 boroughs every day and it is disheartening.
It's not all bad but lately i find I have much less patience. Maybe I'm just getting old.
Never been to Houston but Dallas/Ft. Worth 2 or 3 times. Have a cousin who married a flight attendant from Garland many moons ago. Think I was 18 or 19. Went out to eat with my folks, it was pretty hot out and I ordered a beer. The server said it was a dry county and I replied " you're not kidding, better make it a big one." My Dad, God rest his soul, laughed his *** off and proceeded to explain what she meant. Man I miss him, blessed to still have Mom!

Hi oldbee,
(are you stirring the pot?!)
Thanks for the welcome. I drive Ohio end to end when I visit my bud out in Indy. Usually last minute trips or when my procrastination results in way too expensive airline fares. Have been to Dayton, Columbus, Cincinnati, Cleveland and Toledo. Mainly on business but I did stop at the hall of fame in Canton. Need to get to Sandusky some day, I hear you have some kickin' roller coasters there.

I just saw this and don't know when I disagreed to it? Fat fingers scrolling on a small screen maybe?? Rumblefish360's reply makes more sense to me now. I'm going to try to edit.

I'm a little envious of those with TWO classics in the garage!
How much extra time do you allow yourself trying to decide which one to drive?
Thanks for the welcome.
The orange car is a driver, the blue car gets out for car shows.

Well ... she will be F5 again one day if I ever get my stuff together. I still need to post some more pics. Gonna' concentrate on some of the original painted areas under the hood and in the trunk that are too good (imo) to mess around with. Then share some of the obvious problem spots, beyond the lower quaterpanels. Opinions, perspectives and suggestions will be welcomed and appreciated!

Damn dude! Now you are making my mouth water!
Circumstances keep me downstate, My brother has a 2nd house in the Catskill area that I love getting away to. get's me out of the city once in a while. Think I'm a country boy at heart.

I live at base of Catskills,!!!!
We will have to meet up for lunch one day, when you in area!!
If we park our cars next to each other, by the time we finished with our lunch, perhaps we will return to our cars, to find a litter of little F5's!!!!
