Ok so I found my battery charging issue was the ammeter. Until I can fix the ammeter I have it bypassed currently.

After bypassing the ammeter I noticed my top wouldn’t go down. Traced the wiring from switch and it is powered up from a jumper from ammeter to what looks like a relay or something.

I cannot find any wiring diagrams online that show the convertible top wiring.

My question..
Is that a relay that powers the convertible top? Or can I just wire it to any ignition on Source?

As I recall, there is a circuit breaker connected between the ammeter terminal and convertible top switch, and the circuit breaker is really close to the ammeter connection. I really don't like the fact that the switch has full power all the time, and all the power goes through the switch to operate the top.
I plan to power the pump through some relays, and will likely add some arming switch to the circuit so it is not active all the time.
On my Power Windows, I added a switch to disable them so the grand kids don't play with them when I'm driving.

Here is a not so great picture of the back of my ammeter (69 GTX Conv)

the top right arrow points to the connection that goes to the switch for the power top
The top left arrow points to what I believe is a circuit breaker
The bottom left arrow points to where the ammeter connects to the circuit breaker (L shaped metal connection)

The safety relay above the the "Ammeter and Circuit Breaker" is only for power windows, but the power windows at top switch both get power through the circuit breaker.
For those with power windows;
Wire W9-18T is accessory key switched power to the window relay.
The Safety Relay has a metal case and is grounded through the case. It can be replaced with a regular automotive relay, just need to connect the ground.
Just mentioning because I have the relay ground running through a switch so when the car is running (accessory power on), I can de-activate (lock out) the power windows like on a newer car. I want to modify my power Top wiring so I can disable the power top switch also.
