I see alot of non posters jump on the site to sell with little to no posts.....I for one wouldn't wanna buy from someone on here that has 2 posts and one was selling his junk to someone else.

On craigs list you get scam calls as soon as you open the site so no

I don't really come for the for sale stuff either, but weeding through it in the recent topics seems like it takes more time lately.

The same thing happened to FABO years ago. The "family feel" got replaced by a Mopar For Sale contingent and lost a lot of its appeal, at least to me.

I'm a new guy and I know one thing for sure, I'm not buying from someone who joins to sell stuff. They may be great and honest people, but in today's world, no thanks. Better save than sorry.

Your a 'new' guy? You gotta have a record for the number of messages since you joined. You should be eligible for an award maybe a B-Body forum coffee mug. lol

I think its just that more people have more time on their hands these days to buy and sell. I listed quite a bit of stuff on CL over the last 3 months and was surprised this morning to realize that I have actually sold 100% of it as of Saturday.

OK...I agree with the above comments. Let me throw this out for enhancement to this discussion...Say someone is on FBBO and has parts for sale. Seeing as how say a C Body or A & E body Mopar's do quite often share the same mechanical parts. Now say, that I want to sell some of my A body parts so I head over to FBBO and join up to sell those compatible parts. Low post count too. Are ya'll going to tell me that because I only have a low post count, that I cannot be trusted? If my parts are compatible, then what the hell is the problem with coming over to FBBO to try and sell my parts. Same for the C & E body sites that Joey has set up. Supposedly we are all one big MOPAR family but I guess that isn't quite accurate. Seems a tad bit hypocritical IMHFO. Just sayin' is all...cr8crshr/Bill:usflag::usflag::usflag:

I sell parts to downsize and to raise money for other parts. If I went to FCBO to sell I'd mention that I'm on FBBO primarily and to to check my feedback. When I see join to sell I'd becareful about buying from them. JMO.

I don’t mind the for sale stuff. Sometimes I don’t even realize I need something until I see it for sale here.

Recall earlier posts some months ago where a scammer was selling one or more project cars also recall he was a rather confirmed scammer as one or more members did some checking. He had joined the forum and had one or two posts to his name, if that, selling his goods. It's logical to be suspicious but could be all good too. I've sold and bought a couple items over the forum but my main stay was/is getting great advice from fellow members on car fixes..could be cuz ahh after all this is a car forum.

there are seemingly, some professional parts sellers
very little posts except the Marketplace Forums

usually the people from other related forums,
like FABO FCBO FTO etc. etc. etc.
say they are a member from whatever F-BO,
or those that, they have familiar names & some more street-cred
if they don't say they are from another forum of Joey's F-BO
selling parts here
we can't read minds

there's people from MoFarts or now even DC .com selling here too

people on all these forums, especially of Joey's
we/they tend to be pretty protective of each other
give US a heads up, to the scammers or unscrupulous types
protective of the rest of the loyal membership all of the F-BO community...

IMO just because someone owns a MoPar
or tries to sell MoPar parts, that alone doesn't give them a free-pass
it's all about trust, caveat emptor (buyer beware)
lots of people out there, praying on the very trust

I've gotten hosed a couple times and probably few can say it hasn't happened to them at some point. My most recent mistake was buying floor mats that never arrived and should a checked the reviews 1st as there were dozens of them from people getting hosed for tons more cash than I did. I got a refund through PP and wondered though why in the hell this outfit was STILL up with their nifty website STILL trying to sell. Would have figured PP would say nope no pay to this place. Anyway, we have shared our tales that's been helpful and like the idea that friggin scam shits get put on notice their scum tactics get outed.
