Is it a dry seal or is the best practice to put fuel proof sealer on mating surfaces ?

I guess you could use hylomar (Permatex PermaShield) too.....its blue in color and made for fuel so it never really hardens completely and seals it up. I use it on my intake gaskets and all my gskets near fuel plus its fuel safe so it wouldn't get gummy like a normal permatex sealer will over time.

Dry seal. I would recommend the seal from Steele Rubber Products.

If it leaks use the sealer recommended by 91r/t.

Also DMT has a good one. The cheap ones like Metro sells will tear easily.
