Sure! It's a great idea in the Mopar world. Real car builders horse trade! You can't catalogue flip to build our cars unlike Furd and Chebby guys can.

Only if you find the right person/stuff to trade... Most want to give a large amount of common or rough parts for a valuable part. Which means normally it would be tough to sell those pieces and recoup your Money and is normally why they still have them..... It happens I was just offered 3 68-69 440 cast iron intakes (which no 440 had a 2 barrel) and a set of late 70's stock small block valve covers for a Nos $100 part...

Has worked out wonderfully for me several times. Most recent - I had a 68 AM radio, needed a 69. Guy on the DodgeCharger forum had a 69 faceplate, needed a 68. I disassembled mine and we swapped. Everyone happy.

I traded a 69 Charger 500 for a 70 Charger R/T 440 Sixpack car with a member on Moparts! So I would say yes.

I often trade cash for parts and parts for cash. That counts, right ?

I'm a big believer in bartering. Have swapped several times for MOPAR parts. Great idea.

I do alot of trading, well did . Back when I was young and couldn't afford new stuff or a part or .... Hell I bought my first house and needed a fridge I knew this cop that had a brand new one is his garage wouldn't fit in his house. He had a trans am that needed fenders and doors witch I had so we made a deal and traded !! He finished his project I got the fridge !

Lately I'm not really using used parts (the caddy rat rod project gets them still)
Charger has been getting new everything

I've always liked to try to trade, that's how I got the parts for my 4-speed swap. He needed to go Auto on his 69. I helped him make his changes and ended up making a great friend in the process.

I've done a few trades over the years
especially with buds that had stuff I wanted & visa versa
even whole cars or trucks,
some usually included cash too

I swapped BB parts for SB parts a few times even
I've done it with Jeep stuff, when I still dabbled in that stuff
common place really
if someone needs it & you have it
they have something you might need,
come to an agreement & do it

like I said some usually involves cash too, by one party or other

why not ?

you can always say no
or just close or delete the trade offer
or say it's gone

I have a N.O.S. 68 RR Grille up on Marketpkace to trade or sell of anything of interest right now but no takers yet.
So yes bartering is part of the fun.

Most trade offers I get when selling, are people trying to trade up on their part.
