Anyone install gauges in the stock radio location on a Road Runner?

I'm in the process of checking the measurements to see what will fit.

If it looks good, I will fab a piece of metal to replace the radio cover.

Looking for suggestions/inspiration.

Thank you.

I started working on this last night.

Painted custom bracket with primer - it was a scrap stainless steel piece I had laying around.

Then mocked it up in the radio spot.

Went for a nice drive last night - car is running great.

Have a nice country road by me that can be used for some spirited driving.

Here is a picture of the completed dash.

I had previously installed blue LED lights in the existing gauge cluster.

Looks good. I just replaced the factory gauges with 2” autometers.

That is cool.

Do you have fuel injection?

I am assuming that is what the tablet is for.

Looks like your in the middle of installing it.

What engine is that?

Also, am I seeing two windshield washer reservoirs?

Yes. I’m still wiring it all up. The engine is an aluminum Gen2 540 hemi with 16 injectors and twin 76mm turbos. The passenger side windshield washer bottle is for the water/meth injection and also the windshield washer. The driver side bottle is plumbed into the radiator from the bottom to serve as an overflow/expansion tank as NHRA requires it.

That is awesome looking.

What kind of ET’s are you expecting?
Thanks. It should produce enough power on C16 race fuel to go high 7’s in the quarter mile. However, the cage limits me to 8.50. My goal is to go consistent 8.50’s on 93 octane pump gas.

That’s crazy quick.

I am assuming you’ve been racing for years and worked up to this?

Yes. Started out years ago thinking 13s were fast lol. The last turbo car we ran went 8.02 at 170mph off the trailer. That’s starting to get real fast.
