Detroit Shop and Swap Meet

Agreed! Things are getting better around here so hope this thing still happens at it's current date.

Nothing official yet, but a little bird told me it has moved to July 26th. Almost as allusive as a roadrunner....

What happened to the May 31st rescheduled date?

If it's on July 26th, that's the same weekend for Norwalk.

For me Norwalk would trump the North Oakland show.

I hope it happens. The Easy Rodders swap and show is the week before. I hope that one happens also.

.....Officially changed on the Packard Proving Grounds website to July 26th. For now.....

Actually this may work out good for me now that I put some thought behind it. I'll do Norwalk Fri & Sat and then drive to Packard Proving Grounds (150 miles) Saturday late afternoon. Grab a hotel close by and do that show on Sunday. I would save about 128 miles of driving vs doing both shows separate weekends. Plus the North Oakland Mopar meet will have more action than Norwalks' Sunday part, with it being the pack up and go day where there's a thin crowd.

So now I hope it stays this way.

Thanks again for your detailed info.

Is this for sure? Thought it was scheduled for July 26. Also the Easy Dodders show is on July 19.

Never mind, I just saw the SGT's post above. Still the 26th.....

Got this email:

CANCELLED
43rd Annual Easy Rodders of Michigan Car Show/Swap Meet/Craft Show- Sunday, July 19th, 2020

Hope to see you next year.

CRAP! Another one bites the dust.......

You will never stop that. You might not be able to buy a t-shirt, but you will never stop that. Remember that huge blackout from about 12 years ago or so, that took out the whole NE part of the country? No power and they still came. Looking forward to watch it roll on buy. Really bad weather is the only thing that dampens it. No pun intended...

and now, Back To The Bricks in Flint is also cancelled.......:(. My last hope is the Frankenmuth show in Sept.

The big concern, IMO, is the shoulder to shoulder crowds lining the streets.
You're safe from spores in your car! Oakland County has the 2nd highest rate of C-19 in Michigan.

We're back to the basics friends....Cruising like the old days without all the folly on the sidewalk. It might be a nice change for this year. I'll most likely hit Woodward a couple evenings leading up to the traditional day. Gotta drive the car sometime!

Yep.. just like the old days. Full case of 12oz pepsi bottles in the back, bottle of Rum up the vent stack and cruise up, down and around town all night long. Okay, maybe no Rum in this day and age...
