OH BOY! , you better jump on that deal before it gets away!.

1971 DODGE POLARA 383 big block Stroker,V8 ENGINE This tells me hes a moron... or a Chevy guy... I hate it when I tell people I have a 383 and the very first thing out of their trap is.. Ahh a Stroker... My immediate thought is MORON...

Is it a Magnum engine?

I am gonna say no, based on intake/carb, and exhaust.
He also claims its from a 1971 Polara, and I don't think you could get a MAGNUM in a Polara, plus 1971 Magnums were painted orange.(I think)

Now those things could be changed, but, I doubt it.

Maybe the engine is a "BARN FIND"
then it would be worth it.

it probably ran when pulled too. no shortage of idiots out there

Wow, I can't believe all you guys missed this!! Only in 1971 did Ma Mopar put solid gold pistons in their 383s. And by the way, "Chevy" and "moron" are synonymous.

Someone please text this guy and post the conversation... LMAO Took it upon myself to text him... No reply as of yet. LOL

BEWARE!!!!
at bottom of ad he clearly states it has the scatter pack.
(SCATTER PACK, something ford engines do to internal parts on the regular)
Dose that mean the engine has scattered parts, or will scatter part upon start up.?

I do not know the LA engines as well as the B/RB, so I have some questions:
I thought all 360 engines were 4bbl?
And 318 were 2bbl up until the 80's?

What year did small blocks get EGR?
And I could be very wrong, but don't small block car engines have mid sump oil pans?
(called front sump, sometimes, but like 60% from back)

360s started in 71 with 2bbls and later when they replaced the 340 with the 360 those models had 4 bbls.
Some 318s got 4bbls too.

What I don't get is he says its from a 71 Polara but posts a pic of a Super Bee.

I smell a scam.

the balancer says it's a 318 ,and the pan looks like it may be a truck pan. the price says he is clearly sucking the glass dick

I knew trucks could be had with a 360 2bbls, but I didn't know cars ever got them.
I was also under the impression that 318 engines were all 2bbls,until about 1978.
I guess I got some learning to do on the small blocks, lol!

I also just noticed the 383 for sale says its #'s matching!
#'s matching to what? A car that no longer exists?
OK the vin# on the engine matches the vin on the trans, will anyone care about that, when the car they came from is scraped?

I sent him several texts got 0 replies... I'm sad I really wanted that NASCAR used officially licensed 383. I heard it was only ran around the track half lap then they pulled it to let it rest.
