Hi I am trying to separate the glove box door from the metal inner part of the door. I removed all the screws and also the two for the lock. Its all loose but the lock prevents it from separation. Looks like I need to separate the front of the lock from the back part of the lock to get it to pull away from the door.

Any idea on how to separate the lock assembly which appears is clamping the plastic front fascia of the glove box from the metal liner?

Thanks,
MF

No dice my door key doesn’t fit the lock in the glove box door. Wondering if the glove box lock used a different kinda key as mine doesn’t even go in......

Your trunk key fits the glove box.. or it should!
Thanks dadyO That key is long gone. Wondering if there is anyway to remove the lock from the glove box door assembly without a key....????

Seems like a catch 22 here........ In order to change a lock when you lost your key you need your key to remove the lock so you can change it lol.......this hobby can some times be as frustrating as the politicians in DC......

This reminds me about the time I was trying to figure out women. Just can’t find that tab to push in. Can’t see it or feel it with the dental picks.

Well the reason I cannot find the pin to press in is because it ain’t there or at least not that I can see when I opened up the hole.
