I have a 70 GTX with a 10.95 w/ 18 spline clutch. I'm in need of a new one and was wondering what every one is running in their cars. I also believe I need a flywheel because of it getting "glazed". I was going to go with a power ram power grip clutch system. What flywheel would go with this?
Any help would be great thank you

I would check to see if your flywheel can be resurfaced like Jim said,I have done that more then once.

I am running a Mcleod Borg and Beck 3 finger pressure plate (360153), Mcleod disc (260151), Mcleod t.o bearing (16061), Mcleod flywheel, (464102). Mcleod does not sell Borg and Beck type anymore. Only diaphragm type. I had them rebuild my pressure plate. If you want a Bork and Beck type, go with Ram.

I just got this.

How much is a resurface? Is it worth it and do machine shops usually take long to get to the fly wheel or will it take a week? I know it depends on individual shops but in your experieance?

That is the setup I was looking at but I wasn’t sure about the eternal balancing as my car is a six bbl and it’s externally balanced

My car is a six pack car but is not the original motor. It is a internally balanced crank with non six pack rods. I’m also using the older cast iron bellhousing and 11” clutch.
Not sure what would be the correct flywheel for your engine would be. I’m sure a quick call to Ram or Brewers would clear things up.

Check out Brewers performance. They have a weight that you add to the McCloed flywheel for Six Pack applications.

What bell housing do you have?
How many teeth are on the flywheel ring gear, 130 or 143?

Ya I'm not sure about how many teeth are on it. Is there a way I could count a few in so many inches or do I need to count all of them

Seems if your pressure plate has 6 bolts holding it on, it's a matter of simple division, no?

Lol, l have no clue. If you told me what you are talking about I might be able to figure it out.
Thank you

Look at the PP in post 5.
6 bolt hold it on the flywheel.
130/6=? teeth between each bolt.
143/6=? teeth between each bolt.

Make sense?
