Running hot highway only

His initial post clearly states 3:23 Sure Grip

22" Radiators and 3:23 Gears commonly left the factory together

Now if he would have switched to 3:55/3:91 Gears , well

Yes it does.. doesn't say he had just swapped them in, only stated headers just installed. So suspect he had a 2.76 or 2.94 in there before hand. Still don't see that gear down changing things, something else is a miss.. pun intended.

Yes you stated them.. didn't say anything about the gear down swap at the time of header install.

I did a search on that Autozone B509 Radiator

Looks like a 28" Core

But couldn’t get a lot of specifics

I would assume 2 core 28"

Man that is plenty of radiator for a 3:23 Sure Grip

However even though it’s brand new , could have blockage in coolant flow , that’s where that infrared thermometer pointed at all areas on the radiator would answer when hot

Went from 2.76 to the 3.23, but also added the sure grip. 3.55 was thought about. At the time had planned on shorty headers, had I known I would end up with 1 7/8 long tube TTI's I may have went with the 3.55. But all is good, will get her cooled down. Needed a better radiator and a high flow water pump anyway, now I have a reason to do it!

It cooled fine with stock manifolds.... so I can only assume that your headers have now changed the air outflow of the engine compartment so that at highway speed there isn't enough air flow through the radiator anymore. Pull all the UCA adjuster covers and see if things change..

All this talk about new radiators and water pumps when it's probably something like a stuck t-stat. Go for the simple stuff first. The overheating problem happening after the header install is just a coincidence...
