My 63 Max Wedge

oh ya , i scored a stage 2 intake and some nos stock linkage for my 63 ply 4spd max wedge clone project . still waiting for the plug kit from chrysler and that 528 solid repo cam for the stage 2 package . it made great power n torque in a dyno run on another build , can't wait to see what it does with twin fours and mw heads and headers , should be in the 600plus range . it made better than 500 with a single four and replacement alum heads at 5000 rpm , on pump gas . and still made more horses up to 6500 rpm @ 550 horses there in a 440 . and it idles nice and pulls great as well .

Most guys underestimated 383's. My B-5 blue 68 Runner would eat up anything I raced but Hemi's and SS 454's and I'd get them in the 1/8th. I did have a knife-edged crank, TRW forged 12.5 pistons, Carrillo H-beam rods, a Crower solid cam, ported 915 heads with bigger valves and springs, and could pull 8,000 with it. My wife and I test drove a new 69 1/2 440 six-pack Roadrunner and she told him our car was faster. He said I doubt it. She told him the clutch in it was too soft. Mine was 3800 lb with rollers in it. He said, "Do you want to bet?" She said, "Tell you what, we race just a block from here and my husband will race you. if you win, we will buy the car. If he wins, you owe me $100 bucks." He said, "You're on." I got my car and she drove with him over to where the locals raced and she started us. I walked away from him like nothing. I went back and picked her up then went back to the dealership. I should have let her race him, she raced a GTO Judge one night and beat the guy 7 times. He couldn't believe a girl could beat him. When we couldn't find him, another salesman asked the owner if he had seen him as we had his card. The owner said he was in the break room and asked us what we needed with him. My wife said he owed her $100 bucks and proceeded to tell him why. He stormed into the breakroom and fired the salesman in front of us. We never got our money but it was worth it to see him fired and his embarrassment. By the way, if I didn't get out of it at 3500 in 4th in the quarter, I'd get kicked out of the track for running too fast.

By the way, it's not fast, or a MOPAR but you wouldn't believe the places this thing will go. I went up a hill with the front wheels bouncing off the ground, it was that steep. Halfway up, my passenger had gotten out and said he would walk up. He said he kept waiting for me to flip over. I drank 4 beers waiting for him. He was crawling on his hands and knees. The truck was loaded with dry Tamarack from a place no one else could get to except with logging equipment. It's got a 50,000 lb winch on the front.

Boy I like big truck. Looks like fun. Is the top end 35 to 40.

there's a truck you can do something with . put the rv's in it hank the trailer anywhere . thanks a great unit .

i just picked up my mp cam and manifold bolt hole plugs from the mopar dealership , man was it quite there . i wanted the right look of my mw intake n carbs . i've also got new nos linkage for it . so that intake and carbs will have the oem look to the package . i'll put some early finned valve covers n headers with the package . it will look like 60's hot rod should . i'm running large mouth afb's so not sure how to top the carbs . i'm running the mw scoop on the hood . vs or ac ?

Actually I've had it to 65 on the freeway a few times. Rather windy and noisy and tends to wander but I'll bet protesters won't try to block me. My brakes don't always work, officer. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

It's a 1969 5 ton with a Big Block Cummins. I had a loaded cement truck stuck to the differential housings stuck in the mud and pulled him out much to his surprise.

looks like a really nice unmolested car for the most part & a trunk mount battery car.
Was it originally white then painted blue & then white again?

Just drug home 64 post ply slant 3 on tree, been sitting here in Tx since 1980! Took awhile to get a door open!
Built same back in '9 with 440 and A833, this will get a 4 speed and BB of some size too.
