Being "close" to having a Superbird, in that a 70 Roadrunner is about as close as you can get, I've often thought about what I'd want in a 'Bird clone/tribute.
NO! I would NOT do that to my V-code Roadrunner, and I'd probably prefer a 70 Sport Satellite as the base car. A Gen 3 Hemi, preferably the Hellephant engine, would be my ultimate powerplant, but a 6 speed manual transmission, oh DEFINITELY YES, and the BEST suspension and braking systems I could afford.
MEGA KUDOS to you sir!!
A twin turbo 5.7 G3 Hemi would do the trick too!

I’ve built mine using a loaded B5 blue roadrunner as the base. It’ll still be worth more as a clone than the original roadrunner would be...

And that's fine too.
If I can ever have one put together for me, and my wife has already said I would NOT have to sell my V-code Roadrunner to do a separate Superbird tribute car, I would be happy with any clean bones 70 Satellite or Roadrunner, but not a V-code or Hemi car, and it wouldn't be about value it would 100% be about performance. WHAT WORKS THE BEST would be the strict guiding principle.
I don't think it will happen, BUT the most difficult obstacle is out of the way, and that is my wife would fully support the build.
Then there's that whole "money" thing...

Enjoy laying on that bare concrete while you can!! :D Looks like it's going to be a cool ride!
