Was not aware Thermo Quads were available in 69. I don't recall ever seeing one back in those days.

Thermoquad didn’t start until early 70’s. 340 first IIRC.

Car should have a Carter AFB.

Are you selling a carb or did you have a question?

The 440/4 spd would have been equipped with the AVS-4617

Thermoquads were available in 1969, first year for aftermarket. They weren't used yet by Chrysler.
Ding ding ding!!!!

The carb was designed and a race carb first. You could find them at the track in limited use.

So two things should now be abundantly clear ?
1.) your great uncles one owner "all original" '69 R/T is in fact not all Original
because,
2.) a Carter AVS #4617 was the original Carb..... meaning both the Thermo-Bogs are no big deal anyways as you are not restoring back original ?

If they were Thermo-Bogs, why were they able to be very competitive in different competitions?
We have a 1985 class B Dodge camper van. Had 59,0000 Kilometers on it when we bought it in 2009. 350 series, 360 4bbl Rochester carb. Poor mileage, poor performance just crappy. Had rebuilt, still bad. My retired Mopar Mechanic friend took one of my thermoquads put a kit in it. What a difference, better mileage and performance, only drawback is no choke, so takes longer to warm up.
Now we have 107,000 miles on it. Just my humble opinion.

The reason most complain about the T/Q is that those that don't know what they are doing mess them up.There are approximately eleven adjustments that have to be made in order,do one out of sequence and you mess up the everything from that point on.A properly tuned/adjusted T/Q will knock the socks of a AVS or Holley on the same engine.

Chris,

Welcome to the list. Good luck with your project. Post pics! We love them here. as for the above comments.....Charger guys are partial to paint check mark restorations.

The Thermo-Bogs when prepped by someone who knows how to work them are GREAT Carbs..... no argument there !

My only point to the OP was the Thermo-Bogs are NOT 'original' to his supposedly all 'original' 1969 R/T ?
