Burnt 1969 Road Runner

Is the fender tag still intact? Asking for a friend

Regarding H3R halguard - Are you aware of any pros/cons on this type extinguisher vs others?
I think it a good idea putting one in my vehicles, was wondering if other types were adequate

Do you have any Bosch ISO part #s, schematics or pics of how you installed you Bosch ISO relay?

THanks in advance any information, or any other FBBO members can share regarding extinguishers or Isolation relays

The H3R halguard appear to be a dry chemical design according to their website. Guess I was expecting Halon. CO2 is another option for in car use. No mess. I have used a dry chemical extinguisher on fuel fire. Worked great, very QUICK. But left the needed cleanup.

What a bummer!! Battery disconnects and fire extinguishers are cheap compared to that.

Regarding OP, seems like the seller has two too many zeroes on that price. LOL

To clarify for those confused by my original post, the car is not for sale at 24k. That is what the insurance company paid the owner for the loss claim. The car will sell at open auction to the highest bidder. I just wanted to mention it here in case this car or the VIN shows up "restored" or for sale someday.

$24K has 2 more zeroes than I would pay. Just my opinion, I'm not a resto guy.

I'm not selling it and wasnt asking for opinions on value.

THE INSURANCE COMPANY PAID THE INSURED $24,350 FOR THEIR LOSS BASED ON VALUE PRIOR TO THE FIRE.... THE CAR IS NOT FOR SALE FOR $24,350

I am simply pointing out this car was burnt severely and SHOULD BE AVOIDED in case it comes up for sale in the future.

Hope this clarifies my intentions with this post.

$24K is definitely too much for all the work that poor thing needs. It's creepy to look at..

Didn't mean to offend you, just my opinion not worth that much to me in that condition. The owner sure had a good insurance co. Hope mine is that good.

I'm not sure why you would say this. When a car gets totaled, the insurance pays the value of the car PRIOR to the incident. That means the insurance company valued that car as $24,350 PRIOR to the fire, not in the condition it's in after the fire. $24,350 has NO relevance to what the car is worth as it sits now. I don't think $24K is such a great price for that car prior to the fire.

I understand & completely agree that the insurance paid the pre-fire value, like I said hope my insurance would do that well. My comment on the value was directed at current condition and what I apparently misunderstood was the asking price, not the insured value.

Hey if they gave me more for a burnt car than l could have sold it for before it was burnt. Well then it doesn’t hurt as bad.

Short story- I was wrecked in an everyday car That I really liked. Had done my research to find out what is was worth, when the ins. co. came to determine a value, it was more than I was thinking- so I shut up. So that 24k payout doesn’t mean a thing.

Also- might be a good builder. Combine this with a front end, dash, etc. from a 4 door and you could have a fun potentially cheap car!

All I can say is what a shame. This should stay in your mind Everytime you upgrade or change something. It's all about the details making sure the wires from a 50 year old car can handle it and even with a new harness ask the supplier if it can handle what you have. Always remember the min and max affect and to save money most companies lean to minium not the middle or top end. Remember your clamps insulators etc. There is a reason for all of it.

Hmm, I can fix that. Current bid is $5k, kind of high based on some of the warping issues needing repair. Too bad it will be a salvage title car now, that will hurt its resale value. I might watch it for a bit.

That's a deal someone will take redo it and never sale it.
