Hi guys,
My name's Dennis. I had a business for over 20 years selling old Power Wagons and parts. Upon retiring 4 years ago I built myself a shop to play in and and keep projects going. Last week I found a 66 Charger sitting behind some guys garage for over 25 years and had to drag it home. Had it running after a couple hours (with the gas in the tank). The car is totally stripped down. The front end is done. New bushings and 4 wheel disc conversion. All the body work should be done by Monday (floor pans and quarter panels). I should have it on the road in a month. It came with a 361 B engine but I'd like to put a 360 like I had in my LIL RED Truck in it. I do have access to a 440. Anyway, I love the site and will be getting a lot of info and parts here. I will get some pics of it.

Welcome from Alabama, you certainly work faster than I do in retirement. Great to have you.

Welcome aboard Sir, from the middle of the mitten.

Well the interest in the first generation is still violable I THINK! What other supposed quasi muscle car was advertised pulling a nice big boat on a trailer in 1966.

Welcome Dennis from Pittsburgh PA, Post some pix..

Welcome from NY.
Going from a big block to a small block is kind of rare.
The 25 year old gas actually running is hard to believe.
Let's see some pictures.

Welcome from Michigan. We need the pics.....:xscuseless:

Welcome from Missouri!!

:welcome: I also am a new member but glad to see you are a mopar man. Welcome from Fla.

Welcome to FBBO

I'd do the 440 RB

less **** to have to change than the 360LA engine swap
far less ****
& more desirable, if you were to ever re-sale it too

383cid (better version of the low-deck like a 361)
are a dime a dozen too, be a bolt in almost/if not a direct replacement

good luck

Good lord sir, you’re a specimen! You did more on that car in weeks than most in a year! Welcome, hard working one!

Welcome Dennis, I also have a FF powerwagon, have been to Iowa a few times and have had a good time, have been to WV 6 times to the mid adlantic rally. But I started with my 64 ply in 1975, found this forum and have had a good time since. You will find that this forum is simular to the power wagon forum in the knowledge that is available just for the asking, very nice place here with nice people. Good luck with your B-body. PWDave

Sorry it took awhile to get the pics up. I forgot to mention that the car has a 318 in it that's why I opted for the 360. We have all the welding done. I fabbed up the repair panels in the shop. I'm not much of a fan of bondo. The floors have been all replaced, quarter and rear rocker panels. Fenders are patched and new shields are made up. The front end is rebuilt and 4 wheel discs are almost done. exhaust is all done. New rear axle bearings and seals. i went through the engine compartment. Hopefully Friday we will be ready to squirt it. Metallic Candy Apple with a silver stripe across the back. I have a new carpet kit and front seat covers the rest of the interior is in good shape. I am missing the drivers side "C" chrome for the front fender and the trim channel for the top of that fender and the rear wheel well mouldings. I haven't seen them anywhere.(will any other year/model fit?). One of the reasons I get a lot done is I'm a retired Vam vet and have had severe restless leg for the past two years. I'm usually up by 6 and get to bed between midnight and 3 if I can sleep at all. I spend lots of time down the shop. I am going to take the car to a cruise night before the end of the month (social distancing of course my 98 year old mom will get mad if I give Covid to her. Thanks for the posts.
Remember, the problem with the problem is the way we look at the problem.
