Detroit Shop and Swap Meet

I have been out to Woodward several times already. It is happening in certain areas. A lot of cars and people all over. Cops are doing whatever they can to stop it and pull you over. Luckily, not me yet. Heard they are getting everyone for tires (slicks or bald Drag Radials), loud exhaust, loitering, and if in a classic, driving on vintage or historical plates for not at a car show or parade.

I wonder if some clubs are cancelling because they fear a lawsuit if a patron gets C-19 at their show??? I would not be surprised at all!!

Will be at the Packard Proving Grounds......hope it stays on....

Looks like it’s been pushed back again September 20th.

WTF????? I went from doing 2 swap meets this upcoming weekend to NONE!! Mid Ohio Mopars had a re-scheduled swap meet this Saturday (7-25) in Wooster, Ohio. It got cancelled. I was going to do that show (1 day event) then hightail it to north of Detroit to do the Sunday Proving Grounds swap meet. THIS SUCKS!!!!

This goes to show you how much pull Carlisle had to keep their show a float.

This sucks:mad:. Also found out that Utica's Gasoline Alley is cancelled and got my email from the Frankenmuth folks that they also cancelled. All of the cities cancelled all city sponsored events relating to the Woodward Dream Cruise. Even though folks have been cruising Woodward already, the cops have been passing out tickets like candy for any type of infraction. They are trying to keep the crowds away this year. Looks like this year will be a bummer.:(

Where did you see it was moved? Still says this Sunday on N Oakland Facebook page.
Talked to a couple of guys that work at the PPG's at our cruise-in on Monday and both said it was cancelled and Dave from NOMM posted this -
Re-re-re-rescheduled: Mopar show at the Packard Proving Grounds
by David Zatz on July 9, 2020 at 9:05 am EDT

The North Oakland Mopar Muscle (NOMM) all-Mopar meet at the Packard Proving Grounds, originally slated for 4/26, has been moved to September 20, 2020 —assuming Michigan moves to Stage 5 before then.

Car-show vehicles can be registered for $10 (for the owner and one guest), from 7 am to 9 am day-of-show; swap meet spaces are $25 with setup from 6 am to 8 am. The show’s open-to-the-public times are 8 am to 3 pm.

There are 15 award classes plus best of show, and spectator admission of $5 (children up to 16 are free). The event is no longer rain-or-shine. Food and drink will be available for purchase on-site.

The Packard Proving Grounds, on 49965 Van Dyke Avenue in Shelby Township (between 22 Mile and 23 Mile), is the historic Packard facility, and some company buildings remain for tours by the public.

Don't know why their FB page hasn't been updated since a lot of folks look at that.

Thinking this is dead for this year. Looking at the Packard calendar and I don't see anything on this for the rest of the year.

Detroit Area Auto Modelers meet in November is cancelled.
Indoor show at Macomb County Community College in Warren.

WPC MoPar Meet in February?? Fingers are crossed!! It's held at the same place...
