I pulled the Charger into the garage to fix the rear passenger side valance corner (I backed into something) and fix where my wife backed into it (fortunately the same area) but.....

I had side exit exhaust which has been a real pain living in the country so no better time to modify the rear valance for rear exit like I've been wanting too... here comes custom made 3" stainless exhaust from the mufflers back. That uses up the area where the reverse lights go so now another mod to add better lights.

Outside of those it has a blemish on the quarter from gas overflowing while parked on a bank and now I notice the notorious crack forming behind the driver side door on top of the rear quarter from the body flexing! I'm almost to the point where I'm just going to pull all the trim, fix everything and repaint the body (fenders, doors, hood, etc are all good).

My question is can you eliminate that cracking from happening? It has new AMD full quarters and subframe connectors. The subframe connectors are homemade but are a direct copy of the Hopkins bolting to the rear leaf shackle mount and welded to the torsion bar cross member. I don't drive it easy at all, that's not what being a Mopar fanatic is all about so any suggestions are welcome.

You have to stop the "Dukes of Hazard" jumps with that Charger!

Unfortunately by the time I joined FBBO and started learning about all of this stuff I was well beyond that point but have been paying attention to others builds. I like those connectors, of course that means gutting the interior but with the connectors I have there's no way to install rear torque boxes.

Here it is, first time assembled after the metal work on the rear valance. I'm liking it!

Very nice mod, as usual! We need some audio!

If your subframes were tied to the floor that'd help. I welded the top 1/4 seam on mine then had them smooth it. I'm hoping mine doesn't crack. I put all the USCT braces in so we'll see.
Very nice work as always.

Appreciate it! I think that will be the plan, upgrade subframe connectors and add all of the stiffening add on's. With the damage already being done and me being way behind on starting my daughter's car I'll just blend this work in and wait until hers is done to tackle that. If I finish before she's old enough to drive I'll have a classic to drive while I fix mine bahaha.

I think I'm liking this idea? The plan was to make a discreet reverse light panel that would also hide the fuel tank but the discreet part proved to be the challenge. Think I finally got it tucked under enough with the flat black paint that it will get it done. 2,000 lumens worth of LED's, should be an improvement.
