welcome to FBBO

a bit more/thicker oil viscosity may help some

probably wear/extra clearances on the bearings & pump

easy enough to change the pump
right in front on the outside,
you could possibly just replace the pressure spring too
if the pump isn't that old or worn
it's under a roll-pin (? usually) & little cup cap on the pump

do a little research

be careful the B-RB engines with high volume
& especially High pressure pumps, with only a 5 qt oil pan
(doesn't look like it's a racer, so may not be any issue)
on older worn engines, a high volume pump is better choice

as Budnicks says...
Also, I would question the Synthetic...
I think I read where the Synthetics are G-R-E-A-T for new style engines, BUT: something about the more precision machining and the Synthetic tends to "wick" away from the surfaces quicker etc.
Whereby the good Old American style original oil will stay on surfaces longer...
So, a good question, I will leave it to the experts on the Forum...

Welcome aboard from NJ. Beautiful car and thanks for posting the picture without us having to ask!

Great looking ride welcome.

Budnicks is totally on target.

took it to a mechanic who has built race motors and he said i should be using oil with high zinc content like royal purple, and at least 10/40 or even 20/50 since i only drive in the summer.appreciate all your help
